Visitors toured the zoo, stopping by each display to hear fun facts and learn about the math behind the designs!

This November, join us in celebrating Indian Heritage Month and Native American Heritage Month. Students, staff, families, and community members have organized a variety of educational activities that honor the unique experiences of both communities.

Pictured here are students from Brandywine Wallace Elementary with author and storyteller Robin Moore after building a 16-foot tipi. 🏕️ This hands-on experience connected classroom lessons with real-world practices, giving students a deeper understanding of Native American cultures.

NBC Sports came to Downingtown East to hold a special ceremony honoring senior defensive lineman Abraham Sesay on his selection as a 2027 Navy All-American! 🏈

Out of thousands of high school athletes across the nation, only 100 of the top players receive an invitation to compete in this high school sporting event.

Coach Matta has also been selected to serve as an Assistant Coach for the East in this year’s All-American Bowl.

Catch Abraham and Coach Matta representing Downingtown East in San Antonio, TX, on Saturday, January 9, 2027, LIVE on NBC. 🎉

Marsh Creek Sixth Grade Center is driving positive behavior! 🚌

The PBIS team spent October celebrating our bus drivers and encouraging students to make every ride a great one. Students in the Make and Take program created thank-you notes for their drivers, and drivers handed out Pod Pride tickets to students demonstrating positive behavior on the bus. 🎟️

To wrap up the month, drivers received coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and MC t-shirts courtesy of @wawa on Ticonderoga Blvd in Chester Springs and the HSA! 🤝#NationalBullyingPreventionMonth #dasdproud by @downingtown_area_sd

Things are heating up for National Principals Month! 🌶️🔥

We’re celebrating our principals and thanking them for their leadership, dedication, and support for our students. But to truly test their grit, we put them in the hot seat for our very own version of Hot Ones!

Our students brought the heat, and as the wings got hotter, the questions got even tougher. Thanks to our student hosts: Nora, Emory, Mikey, and Sebastian. 🎤

Big thanks to @lionespizza for supporting this challenge! 🍗

Watch the full video to see who handled the heat and who had to reach for the milk. 👀

Student Life Committees at our middle and high schools met to discuss updated cell phone expectations at school. 📱

Students shared feedback on the changes, noting positive wins like more face-to-face social time at lunch and better focus in class. They also brainstormed ideas to keep family communication, safety, and personal responsibility balanced. 💬

We look forward to meeting with our committees each month and using their insights to help build an environment where every student feels supported and valued. 💙💛
