Doylestown Action League (D.A.L.) is a grassroots organization that is committed to promoting events and actions in and around Doylestown, PA that mobilize people to take action against the harassment and hate that is growing in our current social and political climate. We stand with communities of color, our LGBTQ+ friends and family and the immigrant community. We are here to fight for climate justice, social justice, protecting democracy, and much more. This event will help fund all of this.

No Kings - Vote Early!
Saturday October 17, from 2-4pm on the plaza in front of the Old Courthouse Plaza (55 E. Court Street). We’re celebrating our right to vote by throwing a family-friendly event right here in the center of Doylestown. The DropBox at the Courthouse as well as the Board of Elections will be open on Saturday Oct. 17th, so it’s a great day to either drop off your mail-in ballot or do on-demand voting! There will be fun crafts & events for the kids, snacks & music. The League of Women Voters will be on hand to answer questions and to make sure that you’re ready to get your vote in! If you feel inclined, come in costume!
To make this event even more effective, please consider joining the PA Dems for some door knocking before or after you attend the Long Live the Vote party at the Courthouse. Sign up HERE to canvass (you will have to scroll down to the October 17th dates).

If you would like to volunteer at this event, reach out to Lolly at lollyhopwood@gmail.com. Here’s what we could use:
- Greeters who can direct people to the events & voting locations
- Peacekeepers
- Help with kid’s crafts
- Help with the DAL table
- Set up & break down

Action Pulse
9/25/26
This is NOT Normal

In a single weekend, an ICE agent shot a DoorDash driver in the back; a construction worker died in a fiery crash while fleeing an attempted ICE traffic stop; and federal immigration agents left a U.S. citizen bloodied and hospitalized after mistaking him for someone else.

THIS IS NOT NORMAL.

At the United Nations, the President of the United States openly contemplated the “annihilation” of another sovereign country, violating the founding principles of the UN.

THIS IS NOT NORMAL.

When extraordinary acts become ordinary, silence helps make them so. We believe they must be called out. We believe people must speak up and peacefully protest when they see something wrong.

See something. Say something.

Nolan Wells needs to be remembered and honored. His life was taken away far too soon. The circumstances around his death need to be investigated since they are beyond suspicious. And yet the Mississippi grand jury that was in charge of this case announced this week that no further investigation or charges will be pursued.
.
.
If you’re just learning about this, please take some time to look at the evidence that is already out there and the gaping holes in the investigation. There is no justice here for Nolan Wells. He and his family deserve answers. We all do. And this lack of accountability is all too familiar.
.

Black Lives Matter. If we’re not saying that with our full heart, we’re not doing the work that we need to be doing. by @doylestownactionleague
