POSTS STORIES REELS
This month marked a special milestone—10 years of doing what I love, serving as an Athletic Trainer. When I first stepped into this field, I was eager, hopeful, and ready to work hard. What I didn’t fully understand then was how much this profession would teach me—about resilience, communication, leadership, and compassion. Over the last ten years, I’ve grown from simply wanting to be good at my job to truly understanding what it means to advocate for athlete health, to collaborate as part of a team, and to continue evolving as healthcare and performance needs change. Above of all, I’m grateful. Grateful for the athletes who let me be part of their stories. Every athlete who trusted me with their care has reminded me why this work matters. Grateful for the mentors and colleagues who pushed me, supported me, and never let me settle. Grateful for every lesson, even the tough ones, because they made me better. Ten years later, I still love this work—the energy, the purpose, the relationships, the chance to make a difference every single day. My heart is full thinking about the journey. As I celebrate this decade, I feel both appreciative and motivated—appreciative for the journey so far and motivated for the opportunities still ahead. Here’s to continued growth, new challenges, and the next ten years of making a difference, one athlete at a time. • 📸: @scanmanphotos by @dr.amberheath

Athletic training is a profession of opportunity to serve when no one is watching. Whether it is staying late after practice, preparing treatment areas, helping an athlete through a difficult rehabilitation session, or offering encouragement after a disappointing injury, these seemingly small acts can have a lasting impact. My mission is not simply to help athletes return to the field, but to be a source of encouragement, compassion, and hope. I want my actions to reflect Colossians 3:23 daily. May this year be fruitful for all of my teams both on and off the fields/court/pool/mat/track. May God guide me in their care and may I always keep a servant’s heart. • • #year5 #servantsheart #SBPAthletics #athletictraining #womeninsports by @dr.amberheath
