A little more about me šŸ‘‡

Over my 30+ years of practice I saw firsthand the lack of understanding women have when it comes to their bodies. When I started to dig deeper, I found that while feminine care was beginning to receive the ā€œclean beauty treatmentā€, many of the bestselling products on the market were still using Vagina and Vulva interchangeably or vaguely referencing ā€œcare down thereā€.

Not to mention they were using known skin irritants under the guise of ā€œnaturalā€. As a physician, I knew the importance of correctly identifying, labeling, and caring for our most intimate, unique, and empowering zones and the harm that could be done in not doing so. I knew I could do better for women and set out to conquer the next frontier of skincare - VULVA CARE! by @dr.clarebertucio

For too long, women have been told to keep quiet about menopause. This Menopause Awareness Month, I want to keep that conversation open.

It’s why I’ve made education such a big part of my work at Medicine Mama. From using the correct names for our anatomy to talking openly about dryness and discomfort with intimacy, no topic should feel off-limits.

I’m often asked about my favorite products for intimate care during menopause. A few I reach for:

• Our Vulva Balm to help replenish moisture and soothe dry vulva skin.
• Our Vulva Wash, a gentle, pH-balanced cleanser for external intimate skin.
• Our Vaginal Suppositories with hyaluronic acid to help maintain moisture and ease internal dryness.

You deserve to understand the changes happening in your body and feel comfortable asking for support. Let’s keep talking, this month and every month. by @dr.clarebertucio

This isn’t just another vaginal probiotic. It’s a whole new standard, and I’m incredibly proud to finally share it with you.

During perimenopause and menopause, hormonal changes can affect the vaginal microbiome, pH balance, healthy yeast levels, and urinary comfort. Yet women are rarely given the education or support they need to navigate these changes. That’s a big part of what I’m working to change at Medicine Mama.

I created our Vaginal Probiotic with UREXĀ® probiotic strains and a concentrated cranberry phytosome. Together, they support a healthy vaginal microbiome, vaginal pH balance, healthy yeast levels, and urinary tract health.*

Just one capsule a day for vaginal and urinary support through every stage.

Launching tomorrow at medicinemama.com - I can’t wait for you to try it! by @dr.clarebertucio

I’m so excited to finally share Drought Drops, our limited-edition collaboration with Kacey Musgraves.

At Medicine Mama, we’ve always believed intimate care deserves the same openness, care and attention as every other part of our health. When the opportunity came to work with Kacey, it felt like such a natural fit.

Kacey has this incredible ability to make deeply personal conversations feel universal, bringing honesty, humility and humor to topics that are so often left unsaid. Those are the same values we’ve built Medicine Mama around from the very beginning.

Together, we’re helping make intimate wellness feel less stigmatized, more approachable and, yes, a little more fun.

So proud of our team for bringing Drought Drops to life and so grateful to Kacey and her team! by @dr.clarebertucio

Meet the muse: Snow Mushroom.

When I was formulating Intimate Glide, I wasn’t just looking for an ingredient that hydrated. I wanted one that could truly support vulvar tissue.

That’s why I chose snow mushroom.

Snow mushroom has the remarkable ability to attract and retain water, helping deliver long-lasting hydration while supporting the skin barrier and improving elasticity. In many ways, it’s nature’s answer to hyaluronic acid, making it the perfect complement to the hyaluronic acid already in our formula.

For intimate skin, hydration isn’t just about comfort.

It’s about supporting healthy, resilient tissue that can better withstand the changes that come with menopause, postpartum, breastfeeding, and other times of hormonal fluctuation.

Every ingredient in Intimate Glide was chosen with intention, and snow mushroom earned its place. by @dr.clarebertucio

Pain during intimacy is one of the symptoms of menopause I hear about most often, yet it’s still one of the least talked about.

As estrogen levels decline, the vaginal tissue naturally becomes thinner, less elastic, and produces less natural moisture. These changes can lead to dryness, irritation, and discomfort or pain during intimacy. While these symptoms are common, they are not something you simply have to accept.

Hyaluronic acid isn’t just for your skincare routine. It’s a naturally occurring molecule that helps attract and retain water, supporting hydration and comfort throughout the body, including delicate vaginal tissue.

That’s why I chose it as the hero ingredient in our Intimate Glide. By replenishing moisture where it’s needed most, it helps support more comfortable intimacy without hormones

Menopause changes your body, but it doesn’t have to take away your comfort, confidence, or intimacy. by @dr.clarebertucio

Pain during intimacy during perimenopause and menopause is incredibly common — but many women are never told why it happens.

As estrogen levels decline, vulvar and vaginal tissue can become thinner, drier, and less elastic. This can lead to increased friction, irritation, burning, and pain during sex. Some women also experience tightness, micro-tears, or discomfort that lingers after intimacy.

Because these symptoms are rarely talked about openly, many women assume painful sex is just a normal part of aging — but it’s actually a very common symptom of hormonal change.

For National Sex Day, we’re opening up the conversation around menopause, intimacy, and vaginal health.

Swipe through to learn more about why painful intimacy happens — and ways to help support comfort again with hydration, moisture support, and gentle intimate care designed for delicate tissue.

Share this with a friend, partner, or someone navigating menopause who may not realize what they’re experiencing is both common and treatable. by @dr.clarebertucio

As a physician and the founder of Medicine Mama, this conversation is incredibly important to me.

So many women spend years quietly dealing with menopause symptoms, vaginal dryness, irritation, or discomfort during intimacy believing it’s just something they have to accept. These experiences are incredibly common, yet women’s intimate health has historically been under-discussed and too often minimized.

That’s a big part of why I started Medicine Mama. I wanted to create products women could genuinely trust during some of the most sensitive stages of life — products made with care, comfort, and women’s real experiences in mind.

The more openly we talk about menopause and intimate wellness, the more women feel empowered to seek support, ask questions, and realize they are not alone in what they’re experiencing.

Women deserve better support, better information, and to feel comfortable, confident, and cared for at every stage of life. by @dr.clarebertucio

Happy Mother’s Day from Medicine Mama ā¤ļø

Today, we’re celebrating the women who guide us, care for us, and help us feel less alone through every stage of life.

Menopause shouldn’t be something we figure out in silence. The more we talk about it across generations, the more prepared, supported, and empowered we all become. For you. For her. For every stage of life.
