Menopause care should include intimate care. This World Menopause Day, Medicine Mama and our founder, Dr. Clare Bertucio, are bringing attention to the changes that deserve more conversation, education, and support.

As estrogen declines, vulvar and vaginal tissues can become drier and more sensitive, and the vaginal microbiome can shift. These changes can affect everyday comfort, intimacy, and how you feel in your body. Understanding them helps you put words to what you’re experiencing and start conversations about the care you need.

This is at the heart of why Dr. Clare founded Medicine Mama: to help women understand and care for their intimate health, with products designed around their needs. From vulvar moisture and vaginal hydration to lubrication, gentle cleansing, and microbiome support, our work centers on supporting comfort through perimenopause, menopause, and beyond.

We believe women deserve clear information, open conversations, and care that takes their experiences seriously. Knowing your anatomy, understanding your options, and feeling comfortable discussing symptoms with your healthcare provider are all part of that.

World Menopause Day is a moment to bring these conversations forward. Our commitment to them continues every day.

Swipe to learn what can change during menopause and how to support your intimate health. Save this for yourself or share it with someone who could use it.

Pain during intimacy during perimenopause and menopause is incredibly common — but many women are never told why it happens.

As estrogen levels decline, vulvar and vaginal tissue can become thinner, drier, and less elastic. This can lead to increased friction, irritation, burning, and pain during sex. Some women also experience tightness, micro-tears, or discomfort that lingers after intimacy.

Because these symptoms are rarely talked about openly, many women assume painful sex is just a normal part of aging — but it’s actually a very common symptom of hormonal change.

For National Sex Day, we’re opening up the conversation around menopause, intimacy, and vaginal health.

Swipe through to learn more about why painful intimacy happens — and ways to help support comfort again with hydration, moisture support, and gentle intimate care designed for delicate tissue.

Share this with a friend, partner, or someone navigating menopause who may not realize what they’re experiencing is both common and treatable.

🎨 Art Basel may bring us together… but women’s health moves us forward. 🌸
Miami is more than a global art destination — it’s a hub for women’s wellness and empowered leadership.

🍽️ Not just dinner — dialogue that matters. Honored to sit at tables where women’s health is the priority, not the afterthought Dr. Clare Bertucio and Nathalie Crawford ✨
