Part 1: A love letter.

It is with butterflies, excitement, and a hint of nausea that I introduce, Cue.

Part 2: The Resistance.
I’ve been resisting and creating this for the better part of 11 months. The only reason it’s still a thing is because of you, and the idea of it helping.

Part 3: The Encore.
Maybe when it’s all said and done, it could be our thing, together. Because it’s strange doing it alone and without it being for you, I wouldn’t do it at all.

Perhaps the ‘powers at be’ believe that fixing standards for evolving bodies should ‘do the trick’. Standardize. Control. Confuse.

Eventually, surely she’ll forget. She’ll forget she’s primal intelligence, personified. She’ll forget who she is.

A human. One that is changing, growing, learning, aging, experiencing life, laughing, crying - joyful and devastated.

She’ll forget what she’s capable of - great power, great pain, and the entirety of our population.

Just hand her a mirror, phone, scale, and to-do list. Surely, she’ll eventually forget, like a caged cheetah that’s forgotten its speed or a tied lion that forgets how to scream.

Yet, despite all that, society’s greatest efforts to convince her, she was never the problem. Nor is her body. by @dr.mallory

I don’t blame the text books. They couldn’t capture her if they tried, anyway. by @dr.mallory

It’s tough to cut 2 years of work into 30 seconds, but here’s a slice. A labour of love. A joyful and maddening endeavour. Yet, one I would do a thousand times over. All of it - even the million decisions, countless meetings, dead-ends, heated conversations, and back-to-drawing-board eyerolls. I’ve loved every second, and we’ve only gotten started. If it disappeared tomorrow, I’d just start over. ⁣
⁣
Ode began as ingredients in a formula, but transformed into a philosophy. A fire. A quiet rebellion. ⁣
⁣
A deliberate stand against all that is ill in ‘wellness’ - the idea of quick fixes, magic bullets, and symptom chasing. It’s a stand against unsustainable practices disguised as protocols, against depletion as normal, against restriction over recovery, against fuelling shame for motivation, against unrealistic expectations, and ‘health’ as a single body type. ⁣
⁣
It’s a stand against male physiology as the standard and ours, an inconvenience.⁣
⁣
We knew who we weren’t, before we knew who we were. We didn’t want to follow the industry - so we built our own version of it, around her.⁣
⁣
From the formula, ingredients, philosophy, new terminology, and rituals - all of it is our take on what’s possible when she becomes the blueprint, not the exception. ⁣
⁣
It’s finally time to share all of it with you. Every detail, chosen with you in mind. ⁣
⁣
We’ve come to understand who we were in the process. Ode is a dedication to the power of the female body. ⁣
⁣
The formula isn’t here yet, but it’s so much more than that.. and that’s why I’d do it over and over again. by @dr.mallory

I didn’t set out to create another brand, let alone a product. But I enjoy confronting the idea that female biology is a flaw to be fixed.
And so, here we are.

It started with a few rules:
No chasing symptoms.
No selling shame.
No assumptions that our biology is an iteration of men’s.

Instead, we’ll support the systems beneath the symptoms — the quiet, intricate, adaptive power of a woman’s body.

Backed by science.
Rooted in ancient wisdom.
Built for her biology.
Designed like art.

And wrapped in a brand that strives to tell the truth about women’s health—bold, informed, unwavering.

Your body was never broken.
And we’re here to prove it.
It’s a system of brilliance—and it’s time the world caught up.

Welcome.
I have so much to share with you.

I’ve always been drawn to the outliers. The ones who in one breath could be called brave and in another, outrageous. The ones with a fire behind their eyes and a vision in mind. The ones who reject the idea that womanhood is a conditioned balance between self-surveillance and social scanning.

I bet they were the kids who pushed the red button in the elevator and touched the stove because just saying ‘it’s hot’ wasn’t enough. How refreshing.

I’ve always been drawn to the stories of women who were willing to step out of line, fueled by emotion, not social consensus. The unedited ones. The wild ones. The expressive ones. The creative ones. The spontaneous ones. The unexpected ones. The big huggers. The belly laughers. The connectors. The playful ones. The ones who go off-script.

They don’t seem to be fuelled by a false sense of urgency or habituating their bodies to the high of external approval. I highly doubt they’re following the productive, perfect, and pretty memo. They just look .. free.

I’ve always been drawn to these women and that feeling. Like riding your bike hands-free and for a split second you close your eyes to just feel the wind.

*sigh* I miss being called ‘too much’ as a kid.
I miss being called too loud, too enthusiastic, too expressive. I miss sitting in the hall because I ‘talked too much’.

Because a lot changed when I started to be less.
A hint of this, and a hint of that, with a remarkable ability to adapt to your desired flavor profile. A watered-down version with plenty of masks. So buttoned up. So palatable. So unrecognizable.

I now fall somewhere in between. A juxtaposition of a neutral appearance with colorful words. A work in progress. Maybe someday I’ll catch up to the kid who loved chasing fire. Who knows. But until then I’ll keep trying and creating. Sprinkling a little more aliveness into everything I do.

I doubt it has to be said, but your “too muchness” is welcome here - your big ideas, bold dreams, your rage, your tears, your joy and delight. Show me how potent you really are.

I bet we would have been friends as kids.
Less doesn’t suit you either. by @dr.mallory

There’s a delightful heaviness across my chest. I open my eyes to see Kai’s arm. I stare at his long eyelashes and hair falling over his forehead. I smile, remembering this euphoric feeling. It’s been decades since I’ve been blissfully wrapped in a Kai cuddle.

I slip out of bed without waking him. A feat I surely wouldn’t be able to do now. I glance back, memorizing every detail.

I run the shower, one that’s free of a seat and bars. I wash my hair, without pain in my shoulders or hesitancy in my balance. It’s glorious. I wipe the steamy mirror to see a familiar face, a younger me. She sees smile lines, I see bright eyes. She doesn’t realize it, but we’ll work hard on deepening those lines over the next 50 years. I whisper to her that her body is capable and her mind is too interesting a place to entertain any other thought on it, so carry on. It is a gift.

Bobby comes in and hugs me from behind. His face is so young in the mirror. He has hot coffee in hand. He’s always been this kind .. and I’ve always been this lucky.

I walk through the upstairs. I remember this house. We renovated it ourselves. I run my hand over the banister, proud of our work.

I peek into Isla’s room. Curls fall over the edge of the bed and her small frame is wrapped around the kitten. The show ribbons and horse figurines are all perfectly lined up. I kiss her forehead as the sun begins to pour in. She’ll be up soon, an early riser as always. I can’t wait.

I glide down the stairs, painfree. The railing is just a suggestion. I feel a rumbling behind me, it’s Stella. My hand skims over her back as she walks with me. It’s been so long since we lost her. God, I miss her.

I get a call from my mom. Tears roll down my face hearing her voice again. Dad’s in the background. I laugh and ache all at once, astonished by how perfect this moment is.

I know this won’t last forever. Soon I’ll return to my aching bones and abundance of solitude, so I look around one last time before timelines realign. I know this won’t last forever, but I need her to know that. Surely she’ll remember how fortunate she is.. when she wakes up on her 38th birthday. by @dr.mallory

Loud.. us.. why?⁣
⁣
Because 97% of the scientific data we have on the human body is based on men?⁣
⁣
Because despite living longer, women spend more than 25% of their lives in debilitating health?⁣
⁣
Because, women account for 78% of autoimmune diseases, averaging a 5-year wait for diagnosis, and we have no idea why.⁣
⁣
Because 10% of women in reproductive years suffer with life-altering endometriosis, but only 2/10 receive a diagnosis? Or maybe because it takes an average of 7 years for it, and much longer if you’re a Black woman. ⁣
⁣
Because 1 in 6 female teens suffer from anemia so significantly that it impacts their math and science scores? .. their anemia from heavy cycles. ⁣
⁣
Because men and women presenting with similar symptoms, tend to receive different treatments? Men are more likely to be prescribed pain meds, whereas women, sedatives. ⁣
⁣
Because 80% of women will experience a hormonal imbalance in their lifetime with 96% of the symptoms considered “invisible”? So to the world, she’ll look fine, but suffer in silence. ⁣
⁣
Because women are 2x more likely to experience an adverse event from a pharmaceutical? Or maybe because 70% of the drugs she’ll ever take have never been tested on women?⁣
⁣
Because 23% of our girls are starting their cycle up to 5 years earlier than their grandma?⁣
⁣
Because less than 2.5% of publicly funded research is allocated to women’s health?⁣
⁣
Because we’ve made women’s health a niche field when it directly impacts half our population?⁣
⁣
Because you’ve named our uterus after a Greek word meaning hysteria? ⁣
⁣
Because US State legislators introduced 468 restrictions intended to limit and control women’s bodies, in a 6 month time period, with the number of bills put forth to regulate men’s bodies .. ever, is zero?
⁣
I dunno.. still kinda feels like one-size-fits-men. ⁣
⁣
So yes, we’ll likely get loud.
