Battle of the forge 3. What a brutal comp. Upper back and traps still feeling it. I placed fourth this year. Tied for 4th really. But it’s way closer to the podium than last years comp. I’m pleased with my progress I’ve made I still have things to work on. Made mistakes that are replaying in my head over and over, but that’s how we learn. Dudes from @southside_strength were strong competition for sure. Congrats to @the_stoic_polemistis and @trevorsiemonsma for making podium and big ole congrats to @trey_godbold_macktruck for winning 1st. @todd_williams_strongman and @sam.williams.strongwoman yall did a fantastic job this year. It was smooth and quickly ran. Thank you to those who came out to support and watch me. Thank you @meighan.ellis for making sure I’ve had plenty of sleep, food, water, all my gear and clothes I needed. Your support is noticed and without it I couldn’t do this. Now we get back to work and make improvements for the next one! Side note. I did PR for weight and reps on the frame. Got 6 with 800 pounds. Also had the fastest fingal fingers time with 14 seconds. by @dr_meatbicycle

Back in strongman after a long hiatus from the sport. I placed tenth overall and I don’t care. I got 8 reps on the car press with 320lbs. 636 deadlift. I managed to move the car yoke. I blasted through the fingal fingers and I won the Hercules hold by a mile. With 1:41 for my time. I had so much freaking fun against a group of crazy strong fellas. I want to thank @trey_godbold_macktruck and @feros.ferio13 for persuading me to join up 2 weeks before the comp. I really needed this comp. I wanna thank @todd_williams_strongman for hosting this one. He did such a great job, everything went smoothly. @sam.williams.strongwoman thank you for getting pictures and putting up with all of our shenanigans. Thank you @tybze_np , @baconandbeerbells , @herbeardedwonder and @your_wee_friend_lifts for coming out. That meant a lot to me y’all. Thanks to my awesome coach @leskeyes for letting me do this and continue to train strongman for a while. Lastly. I wanna thank @meighan.ellis for this. These things cost time and money and she puts up with me being gone to train forever. Coming home tired as hell every day. She always does her best to have me meals cooked starting at 4 every morning. Makes sure I’m eating enough, drinking enough and doing all I need to do. Point is. I can’t do any of this shit without her. She’s the real MVP. I’m forever grateful I have a woman that’s willing to do everything it takes just for me to succeed In these sports I love. by @dr_meatbicycle
