Eid Mubarak from the clinic! 🕌✨

Stepped out in my traditional attire today — yes, no scrubs this time! 🥻 It’s a holiday, it’s Eid, and I wanted to bring that festive energy with me as I headed to see my patients.
Grateful that my amazing assistant was ready to join in and help me through the day. We had 3 patients scheduled, spaced 30 minutes apart — just the right pace to give each one the time and attention they deserve.
Took you along for a quick look at our sterilization setup, a peek into how I document every case, and why I do it — to track quality, improve my work, and most importantly, to show my patients their own transformation with before & after visuals. 📸

A few months ago, I walked into the campus of the Indian School of Business with curiosity… and honestly, a little uncertainty.

I enrolled in the Advanced Programme in Leadership & Business Excellence in Dentistry because I kept asking myself one question:

How can I do better for my patients?

Not just clinically.
But in how they feel.
How they are cared for.
The experience they have in my clinic.

“Doctor, why should I treat it if there’s no pain?” 🤔

One of the most challenging conversations in dentistry is explaining a hidden cavity.

The patient feels nothing. They see nothing. But the X-ray tells a different story.

And that’s where our responsibility as dentists begins — educating patients before a small problem becomes a bigger one.

Pain is not always the first sign of dental decay. Cavities can progress silently, and waiting for pain may mean more extensive treatment is needed.

Prevention is always better than cure. And when decay is detected early, timely treatment can help prevent further damage.

As dentists, our job isn’t just to treat pain. It’s also to help patients avoid it.

An optimistic person develops four powerful habits:

1. Look for the good — even in difficult situations.
2. Learn from setbacks — every challenge has a lesson to offer.
3. Look for solutions — replace “Why me?” with “What can I do next?”
4. Focus on goals — keep your eyes on where you want to go, not just where you have been.

A beautiful smile is not created by simply placing restorations. It begins with understanding the teeth, planning the treatment, and choosing the right restorative approach for each tooth.

In this case, the rehabilitation extended from tooth 15 to tooth 24, combining E.max crowns for the posterior teeth, including the premolars, with E.max veneers for the remaining anterior teeth.

Every restoration has a purpose. Every detail matters.

The goal is not just to change the appearance of a smile, but to create a harmonious result through thoughtful treatment planning and meticulous execution.

Because dentistry, to me, has always been about more than filling teeth.

Yesterday, I could lift heavy weights.

Today, I’m struggling to lift myself.

Down with dengue, and honestly, fever has a strange way of humbling you.

The only benefit I can think of? I don’t need the AC to feel cold anymore. 😅

Jokes apart, it’s incredible how quickly the body can remind you how fragile we are.

We spend so much time building our bodies, careers, businesses and lives — often feeling like we have everything under control.

And then, sometimes, something as small as a virus brings everything to a standstill.

It reminds you that strength is something we experience, not something we own.

In the vastness of this universe, we are just a tiny dot.

Yet we often live as though we are invincible.

Maybe moments like these are a reminder to slow down, be grateful for good health, appreciate the body we often take for granted, and stay humble.

Today, I’m not lifting weights.

I’m learning to appreciate the simple ability to lift myself.

And maybe that’s a lesson worth remembering long after the fever is gone.

Grateful for health. Grateful for life. Alhamdulillah. 🤍

A smile transformation is not always about placing veneers.

This case required a carefully planned combination of treatments:

• 11 — Post & core followed by a crown
• 21 — Implant-supported zirconia restoration
• 13, 12, 11, 21, 22, 23 — Full anterior rehabilitation from canine to canine
• E.max veneers for the natural teeth
• Zirconia restoration for the implant

The goal wasn’t simply to make the teeth look different.

It was to create harmony in shape, proportion, colour and function while choosing the appropriate material and treatment for each individual tooth.

Different teeth. Different problems. Different solutions.
