Cooper, who has achondroplasia, underwent humeral lengthening with Dr. Aaron Huser, increasing his arm length from 16 cm to 27 cm. A process that takes time, precision, and dedication every step of the way.

Beyond the physical transformation, one of the most meaningful parts of his journey has been connection. Through the @LittleLegs.BigHeart.Foundation, Cooper has met others who share his experience, building a sense of community that goes far beyond treatment.

Ademide is 6. Born with Larsen syndrome, a rare condition that causes major joint dislocations. His knees and patellas were out of place, and the growth plates in his femurs were closed.

His plan: reconstruct both knees, regain stability, and start walking tall. ✔️

Surgery was just the first step. Next step (pun intended) physical therapy, more physical therapy + yup more physical therapy + progress.

Every child we treat has a personalized plan like this - surgery when needed, therapies to follow, and always a path built toward their very best outcome.

BTW - this kid… that smile tells all ❤️

2, 4, 6, 8… today we celebrate Heidi, Micah, Noah, and Teagan.

After spine surgeries in May, the Worley family is back for another milestone: eight humeral lengthenings, all at once.

It’s not just medicine, it’s teamwork, and this family proves that when you lengthen together, you really do function better.

Here’s a sneak peek from our quarterly multidisciplinary meeting with the pediatric orthopedic, spine, and neurosurgery teams.

We meet to go over our complex cases together to arrive at a plan collectively. We also discuss our prior cases and talk about what we could’ve done better or differently. And lastly we talk about our research endeavors and future plans.

These meetings are highly educational and engaging for all our team members and we believe plays a big role in improving our care for patients.

@DrAaronHuser recently had a great visit with the Worley family! With mom and all four siblings living with achondroplasia, this remarkable family shows incredible strength at every step. All four of the siblings are now beginning bilateral humeral lengthening.

This procedure can add up to 10 cm of new length in each arm, making everyday activities and independence easier. We’re honored to support them through this journey.
