When Dr. Huser first met Mallory, she wouldn’t straighten her knee, refused to walk, and was too afraid to let anyone examine it.

Mallory was diagnosed with B4GALT7 Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, an exceptionally rare condition affecting fewer than one in one million births. After undergoing an extensor mechanism reconstruction, tibial tubercle osteotomy, and tibial derotation osteotomy, Dr. Huser saw Mallory walk for the very first time.

Congratulations, Mallory! We can’t wait to see all you’ll accomplish. 💜

We’re bringing together leading medical experts for open, honest conversations about skeletal dysplasia care, pharmaceuticals, research, limb lengthening, mental health, and the many choices individuals and families navigate throughout their lives.

One of the things I’m most proud of about Little Legs Big Heart is that there is room here for every path, every question, and every choice. Come curious. Ask the hard questions. Learn from the experts and from each other.

And then there’s the FUN.

Fishing. Pool time. Soccer with @usdfa_official . A live concert with @brendanjames_music . Dancing. Face painting. Trick-or-treating. A pumpkin patch. Raffles. Halloween festivities. And a Teen & Young Adult Lounge—a space of their own to hang out, connect, laugh, and build friendships with people who truly get it.

And the best part? All meals and activities are included with your registration.

This is what it’s all about: Kids finding friends who look like them. Parents finding other parents who understand. Families learning, laughing, trying new things, and realizing they’ve found a place where they belong.

Reid.

Achondroplasia.

Arm lengthening has officially begun.

And Reid has stepped into it with determination, patience, and an incredible attitude.

For people with achondroplasia, shorter arms can make everyday things harder: brushing teeth, eating, washing hair, reaching a shelf.

The process is long, tedious, and often uncomfortable.

Tiny daily turns gradually create space for new bone to form. It is a remarkable process, but it demands real patience.

Cooper, who has achondroplasia, underwent humeral lengthening with Dr. Aaron Huser, increasing his arm length from 16 cm to 27 cm. A process that takes time, precision, and dedication every step of the way.
