Tiny Sun by @tinysunmusic is out now!🌞✨

All of our tiny postcard-sized songs are officially released today. Tiny Sun has been coming together in the background of all our other endeavours for the past 12 years. This album is an independent release which was made possible by the hand work, mind craft, muscle and sweat of a handful of people who coaxed this music off our hard drives and into the world.
All songs mixed by Nicholas Tjelios. Our beautiful artwork comes from the eye and lens of @the.henrys Don Rooke with artful augmentation by @hug_the_mod and Tiny Sun photography by @gregpacek. Tiny Sun album release was made possible and facilitated by the tireless @pquiddy , @littleempiremusic and @houseofsupercool . We’re so grateful to finally be sharing all of it with you.

We will be performing the entirety of the record live in Toronto with the Royal Conservatory Orchestra on May 14th at @koernerhallrcm , followed by a Dragonette set, with orchestra too!

Fixin to Thrill video is the story of a group of neighbourhood kids who conspire to bring an action figure of their making to life. Collecting various wires and old pieces of tech from their homes they’re figurine comes alive. In parallel, is a making-of the video storyline woven in, contrasting their imaginations with our- the creators of the video-imaginations, bringing our ideas to life.

An early test version of my drawn -on body.

My action figure cape made of collected out dated technologies.

A staged bts of the parallel world of making the video. by @dragonette

DRAGONETTE | VINTAGE VIDEO VAULT | Fixin’ To Thrill (2009)

directed by @wendymorgann
It’s videos like this one where you can look back and realize how many people around you were there and ready to support. All the kids in this video are my nieces and their friends. Those same kids were also chorus of children on ‘Stupid Grin’ on the Fixin To Thrill album. The angry mob chasing me at the end is every friend and family member I could recruit…and my manager too. Not a single unknown extra. by @dragonette

⚡ Throwing it way back to the early days of Dragonette—gearing up to hit the road and open for the legendary Duran Duran. What a tour. What a moment. What a memory! 🎹🔥
