‘Hello’ by Martin Solveig & Dragonette, 2010.

Been seeing this song everywhere since yesterday because some band I never heard of did a cover of it but the original is a super banger.

‘Hello’ is a song by French DJ & producer Martin Solveig from his 2011 fifth studio album ‘Smash’ that features Martina Sorbara of Canadian electropop band Dragonette. It is Solveig’s most successful release to date, peaking at number 1 in at least four countries while charting top 10 in at least ten others. It would also reached number 1 on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart in the United States and number 46 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The track would later be featured extensively in popular media including ‘90210,’ ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ ‘Gossip Girl,’ ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked,’ ‘Let’s Be Cops,’ ‘Skins,’ ;Some Girls,’ ‘Ted Lasso, and more. It would also feature in a 2013 commercial for Canadian food chain Tim Hortons, be used as the intro theme to TV series ‘Cheer!,’ and appear in video games ‘Dance Central 3’ & ‘Just Dance: Decades of Hits.’
