After 20 plus years of photography supporting 757 basketball and the 757 community. I was blessed to be inducted into Old School Legends Hall of Fame. It has truly been a blessing sitting on the baseline photographing highly competitive 757 basketball from little league through the colleges. Ranks. I want to thank all the coaches and AD’s that supported my efforts and the kids, the players many of them my friends till this day! by @dray511

Headline: The SEC’s Quiet Fear: What If Black Athletes Stayed in Blue States? Post: Let’s talk about a scenario no one in the South wants to admit is possible. Right now, states like Georgia, Florida, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama produce the majority of elite college football talent. Most of those players currently leave home to fuel SEC powerhouses—overwhelmingly white institutions where their labor generates billions. But what if top recruits from those states started choosing blue state universities, northern schools, or HBCUs instead? Here’s what would likely happen: ⚡ Stage 1: The SEC’s talent pipeline cracks immediately. Lose even 15–25% of elite speed and depth, and the conference loses its overwhelming advantage. 📉 Stage 2: Fewer national championships. More playoff losses. The “aura of inevitability” fades. 💰 Stage 3: Media rights and ratings dip. The billion-dollar SEC brand starts feeling real pressure during negotiations. 🗣️ Stage 4: The conversation gets explosive. SEC football is woven into Southern identity—and that conversation would force America to openly discuss how the modern Southern football economy runs on Black athletic labor, while wealth stays in predominantly white systems. 🚀 Stage 5: Power redistributes. HBCUs revive. NIL collectives outside the South explode. Recruiting geography shifts permanently. The SEC would still exist. Still make money. Still have fans. But it would no longer sit at the unquestioned center of college football. Is that possible? Maybe not tomorrow. But the fact that so many people fear it… tells you everything. Scams are everywhere. I thought this one significant below is what to do if you become a target of a SIM swap attack. What to do and how to prevent. Save this graphic in your photos just in case. There is a link to the video in the comments. This guy is good at what he do! by @dray511
The other side of retirement. Sitting on the side of my bed I asked my everyday question. What am I going to do today. Decided it’s time to build the greenhouse. My forth attempt but can’t get past the first panel. Instead I’m sitting on my butt swaying to my music in the shade of my shed. So when I wake up tomorrow I will decide to go pay for help building. by @dray511
I don’t usually post like this, but this one hit me different. When I saw the headline about threatening Iran’s power infrastructure tied to the Strait of Hormuz, I immediately thought about something deeper than politics… I thought about consequences. Years ago, I came across a book called One Second After. It wasn’t just a story — it was a warning. A very real, very detailed look at how fragile modern life really is when power systems fail. Not inconvenience… collapse. We’re talking about hospitals going dark. Supply chains stopping. Communication gone. Everyday people — families — suddenly trying to survive hour by hour. That’s why this kind of rhetoric concerns me. If we strike and Iran responds in kind the will be troubled waters in America. It’s not about sides. It’s about understanding how interconnected everything is. You don’t “target infrastructure” in today’s world without risking a chain reaction that reaches far beyond borders. Millions of innocent people can be affected in ways most of us don’t fully grasp until it’s too late. If you’ve never read or listened to One Second After, I strongly recommend it. Not for fear… but for awareness. Because once you understand what’s at stake, you start to look at decisions like this very differently. We can talk after you’ve read the book or watched it on you tube. by @dray511
I’m truly honored to share that I’ve been nominated to the Old School Legends Hall of Fame, Class of 2026, recognizing my 21 years serving the 757 basketball community as a photographer. I never did it for recognition - I did it for the kids. To now be acknowledged alongside some of the great players in our area is something I’m deeply grateful for. Induction Ceremony: September 19, 2026 Chesapeake Conference Center (VA) – 11:00 a.m. Tickets are $50. Deadline: February 28. Since I’m posting this late adjusted deadline is 5 March 2026 Cash App: $Dray511 (Andre “Dray” Washington) If you’d like to celebrate this moment with me, please message me. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. This honor belongs to all of us. by @dray511
Woke up this morning thinking about my coming 2d retirement. Looking through my vast library of images I began the thought process, most people have never really seen my work, my Art. So that’s my challenge - what the best way? by @dray511
