POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Being recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Best Plastic Surgeons is incredibly meaningful to me, but what matters most is the trust behind that recognition.

Every patient who walks through my door has their own story, their own goals, and their own reasons for being there. Being invited into that process is something I’m genuinely grateful for, and I never take that trust lightly.

I’m incredibly fortunate to do work that challenges me, keeps me learning, and allows me to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Plastic surgery is always evolving, and I love that it pushes me to keep learning, growing, and finding ways to do better for my patients.

At the end of the day, success isn’t really about an award or a title. It’s about earning a patient’s trust, seeing the smile on their face, and knowing they feel more confident moving forward.

To every patient who has trusted me with your care, thank you. I know that trust is personal, and I never take the responsibility that comes with it for granted.

And to our incredible HKB team, thank you for the care, dedication, and heart you bring to our patients every day. I’m grateful for everything we get to do together.

I’m incredibly grateful to do what I love, and even more grateful for the people who give me the privilege to do it. ❤️ taken in H/K/B Cosmetic Surgery by @drbillkortesis

Being a surgeon is about so much more than what happens in the operating room. It is a profession that asks you to give of yourself in ways that often go unseen.

Your time, your energy, your focus. 🔋

It requires a willingness to put someone else’s needs at the forefront, to carry the weight of important decisions, and to show up with the same level of care and commitment, even on the most demanding days. There is a certain selflessness that comes with choosing this path. It is in the early mornings, the long days, the missed moments, and the responsibility of knowing that someone has placed an incredible amount of trust in your hands 🤲🏼 taken in Charlotte, North Carolina by @drbillkortesis

25 YEARS OF TRAINING THE NEXT GENERATION. 🎓 A fellowship position is open for our 2027-2028 fellowship program.

Apply by emailing weberm@hkbsurgery.com and devin@hkbsurgery.com your CV and interest.

✨

In 2001, Dr. Joseph Hunstad started an aesthetic surgery fellowship built around a simple but powerful idea: share our knowledge, teach the next generation, and continue advancing the field of aesthetic plastic surgery.

25 years later, that legacy is stronger than ever.

The H/K/B Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship offers an incredibly diverse, high-volume experience with exposure to the full spectrum of modern aesthetics. From facial rejuvenation and rhinoplasty to primary and complex secondary breast surgery, explant surgery, massive-weight-loss reconstruction, advanced body contouring, high-definition liposculpture, energy-based technologies and more.

But we believe aesthetic education extends far beyond the operating room.

Our fellows experience the entire aesthetic ecosystem… including nonsurgical aesthetics, Med Spa, emerging technologies, research, patient experience, practice development, wellness and longevity.

Perhaps what makes us proudest is seeing that legacy come full circle.

Dr. Shawna Kleban completed the H/K/B fellowship in 2021. Today, she is one of our surgeons and helps lead the fellowship—teaching and mentoring the next generation just as she was once mentored herself.

That is what Health. Knowledge. Beauty. is all about.

Different surgeons. Different perspectives. Tremendous surgical exposure. One shared commitment to advancing our specialty.

25 years of education.
25 years of innovation.
25 years of paying it forward.

And we are just getting started.
