POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A little throwback to a few days that I’ll never forget. ✨

Some places are almost impossible to put into words.

Life moves fast, and moments like these remind me how important it is to slow down, take it all in, and appreciate just how beautiful this journey really is.

Grateful for the experiences, even more grateful for the people, and beyond thankful for this very special life. ❤️

Here’s to collecting moments, not things. 🙏🏼

Our beautiful patient @hayleymercer enjoying the Carolina sun!

For this patient we used 315CC and 335CC @motivaimplants to build out a beautiful and balanced result, with symmetry as a focal point🍒

Implant selection is carefully thought out with each patient’s anatomy in mind to align with their goals and desired outcome🤍

Toe shortening, toe fat grafting, and… elf ears? 👀 The requests get creative, but knowing when to say “that’s outside my expertise” is part of the job.

An honest conversation will always come first. 🎙️ Podcast linked in our bio 🤭

Honored to be an invited speaker at Plastic Surgery 2026, the annual meeting of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).

It is a privilege to share my experience and insights on the management of breast implant complications, discussing strategies to address challenging cases, optimize surgical outcomes, and prioritize patient safety.

I am grateful for the opportunity to exchange knowledge with colleagues and contribute to the continued advancement of aesthetic plastic surgery.

25 YEARS OF TRAINING THE NEXT GENERATION. 🎓 A fellowship position is open for our 2027-2028 fellowship program.

Apply by emailing weberm@hkbsurgery.com and devin@hkbsurgery.com your CV and interest.

✨

In 2001, Dr. Joseph Hunstad started an aesthetic surgery fellowship built around a simple but powerful idea: share our knowledge, teach the next generation, and continue advancing the field of aesthetic plastic surgery.

25 years later, that legacy is stronger than ever.

The H/K/B Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship offers an incredibly diverse, high-volume experience with exposure to the full spectrum of modern aesthetics. From facial rejuvenation and rhinoplasty to primary and complex secondary breast surgery, explant surgery, massive-weight-loss reconstruction, advanced body contouring, high-definition liposculpture, energy-based technologies and more.

But we believe aesthetic education extends far beyond the operating room.

Our fellows experience the entire aesthetic ecosystem… including nonsurgical aesthetics, Med Spa, emerging technologies, research, patient experience, practice development, wellness and longevity.

Perhaps what makes us proudest is seeing that legacy come full circle.

Dr. Shawna Kleban completed the H/K/B fellowship in 2021. Today, she is one of our surgeons and helps lead the fellowship—teaching and mentoring the next generation just as she was once mentored herself.

That is what Health. Knowledge. Beauty. is all about.

Different surgeons. Different perspectives. Tremendous surgical exposure. One shared commitment to advancing our specialty.

25 years of education.
25 years of innovation.
25 years of paying it forward.

And we are just getting started.

How does a plastic surgeon at @hkbcharlotte prep for surgery? @drbillkortesis approaches it like a sporting event. Preparation is the key to giving his patients the best care possible.

TAKING BASKETBALL BACK TO ITS ORIGINS 🏀✝️

This weekend in Charlotte with @hoopskrew wasn’t just about getting better at basketball.

We trained. We competed.
We went on prayer walks & wrote down goals.
We talked about confidence and identity.
We built Player Development Plans (PDP).
We challenged players to grow on and off the court.

James Naismith believed the sport could be used to develop the whole person: mind, body and spirit.

One phrase connected to his mission captures it powerfully:

“To win men for the Master through the gym.”

The gym can be a mission field. Basketball is your ministry.

🏀 Training develops the BODY.
💪 Confidence, character and leadership develop the PERSON.
🙏 Prayer, discipleship and the Gospel develop the SPIRIT.

Basketball wasn’t simply about developing better athletes. It was a vehicle for developing people. That’s my mission with re-introducing this next generation to the Origins of Basketball story. I’m so thankful to Bill, Blake, Ashleah & the whole @hoopskrew family for inviting me to be apart of this journey.

More than basketball. A higher purpose.

This is what it means to be a Basketball Missionary. 🏀🌎✝️

On the latest episode of HKB Uncut: 🎙️

@drgauravbharti and @drbillkortesis take a closer look at Jim Carrey’s facial changes and discuss whether he may have had cosmetic work done and what procedures could explain those changes.

They also dive into the world of facial rejuvenation, exploring how much work is enough, how aging affects the face, and why every patient’s treatment plan should be unique.

To wrap things up, the doctors go head-to-head in a rapid-fire Q&A, sharing their personal opinions, unexpected answers, and a little more about who they are beyond the operating room. From celebrity transformations to real conversations about aesthetic surgery, this episode offers an honest and entertaining look at the art and science of looking your best.
