I have worked some pretty fun events with some pretty fun people throughout my career. This was definitely one of them. Thank you @native_ats, especially @jasvelasquezatc, for inviting me to be a part of the #AthleticTraining team for the @nabi.nation (Native American Basketball Invitational) tournament. Thank you lyss3r for being the other awesome lead for this event. This event was held at the end of July, and it was a great time!

Mobile Wellness Response Recap: January 22, 2024

Over the past week, we have witnessed an incredible outpouring of support from clinicians—including athletic trainers, chiropractors, massage therapists, and physical therapists—all uniting to serve the first responders tackling the LA Fires.

From giving up their days off to taking time off work and even traveling long distances (as far as Del Mar), the dedication of our healthcare community has been truly humbling. Collaborating with @ihan_clinics, we have been able to serve over 2,000 first responders in just the last few days.

Highlights from the Week:

Teams have been dispatched to fire stations and staging areas near Zuma Beach and the Rose Bowl, where first responders from across the U.S. and even other countries are stationed.

Monday: A team of clinicians served at the Rose Bowl in the morning before getting shut down.

Tuesday: @healthways.chiropractic led a team and served at Zuma Beach working with over 100 first responders.

Another team supported the LAFD at Station 4.

A couple of clinicians work with @ihan_clinics serving California Fire Strike Teams at their hotel in Los Angeles.

Current Plan for This Week:

Clinicians continue to head to Zuma Beach to serve the First Responders. If interested and available, please contact @healthways.chiropractic.

Although access to the Rose Bowl is currently restricted, our team is committed to finding alternative ways to support these brave first responders as they continue their efforts.

First Responder Medical Service Pop-Up #2

Last night, a group of clinicians came together to serve some of the EMS reserve individuals at the Jefferson Training Center in Pasadena, CA.

With many healthcare professionals eager to support and provide aid to our first responders in any capacity, the team—led by @drcarlosrphysio and @themyochiro —continues to work tirelessly to connect with the first responders and find opportunities to serve.

Continually grateful to our first responders for your unwavering commitment to keeping our community safe, and to all the clinicians who came tonight and those eager to help!

1st Pop-Up for First Responders: Success ✅

This morning, my fellow clinicians and I had the privilege of providing care to some of the brave first responders at Fire Station 11 in Altadena, CA, tackling the Eaton Fire.

A heartfelt thank you to all the first responders for your relentless dedication and sacrifices to keep our community safe. We look forward to continuing our efforts to support you in any way we can.

Flashback to the last weekend of October when I was privileged to work the #Anaheim @avpbeach League event. The last time I worked for the #AVP was in 2019. It felt good to be back. Plus I got to work with the homies @bethdrayermovement, and @karena.wu.963 again (thank you for the invite Karena). The bonus was the surprise of seeing other friendly faces in the seats.
