Another successful BLS CPR/AED course in the books! 🫀⚡️

Last week, Activate CPR instructor Carlos led this group through hands-on BLS training, building the skills and confidence needed to respond when seconds matter.

Carlos brings an incredible amount of clinical and sports medicine experience to our instructor team. He is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Athletic Trainer, owns his own physical therapy practice, and has worked with athletes through USA Fencing & Para Fencing, USA Volleyball, and USA Cycling. He also previously served with Team USA at the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games. 🇺🇸

We’re excited to have instructors like Carlos helping us provide practical, high-quality CPR and emergency care education to our community.

How did I appear functional for Ana, Mateo and our clients?

Because I was surviving the last six months living in LA.

And I was good at it. ADHD taught me how to mask things like a pro.

Nobody saw the three hour workouts that were basically me lying on the floor doing mobility.

Or the protein bars and protein powder all day just to eat something.

Always home, isolated, hostile environment everywhere I looked.

I know. And this coming from a middle class white guy.

Moving to Colombia made it easier.

Door always open, food straight from the source, and I don’t have as much time to be anxious and ruminate.

Because there are always people around.

And I still had to function just like I am sure you do.

So I did three things.

Same breakfast every day.

Long chill workouts to calm my nervous system down.

7k steps most days.

I did all of it in the US, in the same environment that was wrecking me.

That’s why I built the 3 Day Survival Challenge.

It’s free. Snap a photo of your food. Snap a photo of your steps. Tell me what went well.

Comment SURVIVAL to join the next one.

This time of year, the rainy and cold weather in Wales was to be expected. These young men played through tough conditions, including terrible pitches, but they pulled it off to win the tournament. Shout out to the staff and players for a great working environment. Special recognition to our bus driver and TLO for the laughs, driving us around, and for the snacks!
