when I started training for my half marathon, my legs were always drained- I basically stopped training them in the gym ๐Ÿซฉโฃ โฃ but I knew building strength was necessary to keep me feeling my bestโฃ โฃ this is the one leg day I kept in weekly โ€“ it helped me feel stronger, more stable, & way more capableโฃ โฃ โœจ๏ธ it made the whole thing feel a lot more doable โœจโฃ โฃ โฃ *4x8 hip thrusts (glutes/power โ€“ main driver in running)... forgot to record lol ๐Ÿ˜ญโฃ โ˜† 4x6โ€“8 box squats (power)โฃ โ˜† 3x10 barbell RDLs (hamstrings โ€“ stride)โฃ โ˜† 3x8โ€“10 step-ups w/ knee drive (single-leg strength)โฃ โ˜† 4x20s copenhagen planks (adductors โ€“ hip stability)โฃ โฃ Save this for race prep or tag a runner who might need it ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ In @oneractive of course ๐Ÿงšโ€โ™€๏ธ by @dreafitx

a little reminder to myself lately by @dreafitx
still processing the fact that I ran a half marathon?! back in August I couldnโ€™t run a mile without stoppingโ€ฆ and in february I ran 13.1..... excuse me there were a lot of times I couldโ€™ve stopped training, but I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it โ€“ especially as a 'non-runner' ๐Ÿ˜ญ by @dreafitx

Remember, movement comes in many forms!!! Hit the gym, but don't be afraid to mix it up on your rest days โ€” we grabbed cafecito and explored a new local park! & we'll definitely be back ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป ๐Ÿซง wearing @oneractive by @dreafitx
Wild what a year of consistency can do ๐Ÿ‘€ Around January last year, Genesis was already getting her workouts inโ€”but she knew there was still room to level up her habits. Since then, sheโ€™s made some key changes that have really paid off: โ€ข Prepping her breakfast and lunch ahead of her 8โ€“4 workdays โ€ข Staying active outside the gymโ€”whether itโ€™s going for a run (which she never thought sheโ€™d do!) or squeezing in workouts at her home gym โ€ข Tracking her workouts and progressively increasing intensityโ€”weโ€™ve stuck with each routine for 6โ€“8 weeks and focused on building strength โ€ข Realizing that being active isnโ€™t just about physical changeโ€”itโ€™s a mental game-changer, too This is what steady, intentional progress looks like โœจ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ by @dreafitx

A year of strength training = real results! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ”ฅ Crystal came in with scoliosis, unsure of what she could doโ€ฆ now sheโ€™s deadlifting with confidence and standing taller than ever! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ‘ โœ… Improved posture โœ… Increased strength & mobility โœ… More confidence in movement This is what consistent training with the right coach can do! โ€œThe goal wasnโ€™t to fix her scoliosis but more to strengthen the muscles around it.โ€ -Coach Drea Shoutout to @dreafitx for helping Crystal unlock her potential. ๐Ÿ’ฏ Ready to get stronger? PSA: ๐Ÿ—ฃ A five-minute treadmill walk is NOT a proper warm-up for the 135lb squat or deadlift youโ€™re about to jump into ๐Ÿซฃโ€‰ โ€‰ Skipping your warm-up might be why you're feeling stiff, sore, or struggling to hit PRs. It only takes a few minutes to prep your joints, activate your muscles, and actually feel ready to lift!โ€‰ โ€‰ This is one of my go-to lower body warm-ups, but I switch it up depending on what my body needs that day. Try these out and see how much better you move!!โ€‰ โ€‰ ๐Ÿ’ฅ Lower Body Warm-Upโ€‰ (๐˜—๐˜ช๐˜ค๐˜ฌ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ข๐˜ต ๐˜ง๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ ๐˜ฃ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด๐˜ต ๐˜ง๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ ๐˜ ๐˜–๐˜œ ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฐ ~10 reps, 1-2 ๐˜ด๐˜ฆ๐˜ต๐˜ด ๐˜ฐ๐˜ง ๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ค๐˜ฉ)โ€‰ โ€ข Bodyweight Squatsโ€‰ โ€ข Toe Touch to Squatโ€‰ โ€ข Half-Kneeling Hamstring/Hip Flexor Stretchโ€‰ โ€ข Half-Kneeling Adductor Rocksโ€‰ โ€ข Shoulder Dislocationsโ€‰ โ€ข Inchworms (with push-up or shoulder taps)โ€‰ โ€ข Hip Circles โ€‰ โ€‰ โœจ Whatโ€™s one area you feel tight in before your workouts? The new year is here, and it's the perfect time to refocus and refresh! Instead of jumping into extreme resolutions, let's prioritize balance, consistency, and building habits that last. ๐Ÿ’› โฃ โฃ โฃ โ€ข Fitness isn't about punishment! You don't need to 'work off' holiday treats with intense workouts. Stick with your regular routine and enjoy movement as a way to feel good and stay strong.โฃ โฃ โ€ข Ditch the fad diets and "quick fixes". Instead, fuel your body with balanced, satisfying meals and leave room for flexibility. Healthy habits are about what you add, not what you take away!โฃ โฃ โ€ข The new year is a blank slateโ€” but that doesn't mean you have to change your life overnight! Reflect on what worked, what didn't, and how you want to grow for your future self.โฃ โฃ โ€ข Recovery isn't optionalโ€” it's essential! Rest days, good sleep, and self-care will help you stay focused and energized. You can't pour from an empty cupโ— so take care of YOU first.โฃ โฃ โ€ข Stress happens, but how you handle it matters! Simple habits like walking, journaling, or quality time with loved ones can help you reset. Keep stress in check, and focus on building memories and progress.โฃ โฃ โ€ข Perfection isn't the goal, progress is! Each workout, healthy meal, and act of self-care adds up! Celebrate all winsโ€” big AND smallโ€” they're the ones moving you closer to your goals.โฃ โฃ โ€ข The best goals come from a clear vision. Who do you want to be by the end of 2025? Start with habits that reflect that vision, and let results follow naturally.โฃ โฃ โ€ข I'm so excited to help you make 2025 your year! Im currently working on launching my online coaching program and would love to hear what YOU are looking for in a coach.
