Happy October friends!! This year for my birthday I am asking if everyone could donate to a charity that I hold near and dear to my heart, Dancers Against Cancer. This organization has helped countless dancers and their families, including parents and students from my own studio. I am honored to be able to attend this years benefit and on my 45th birthday!!!
And you want to hear the best part?? I will be 7 months no evidence of disease!!! WOOHOO!!! This past January I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma and had a double mastectomy on March 20th. I thank God everyday for my amazing team of doctors for the early detection that saved me!! I truly feel that my purpose is to teach my young dancers that you can face adversity in this life and still come out smiling and strong. This life is a gift!!
