Last week Miss Anjuli and Miss Jodie had the honor of attending the @industrydanceawards and @galaofthestars with their nominated piece “All I Wanna Do Is Eat.” It was a spectacular two days of celebrating dance and raising money for @imadanceragainstcancer! Thank you again for the nomination @rainbowcomp !!

Celebrated an IDA nomination with some of my faves in rooms with some of my idols.

Being inches away from Janet, seeing her on stage with Liza and watching a glimpse of my kids on the big screen are definitely core memories.

Ben Vereen is a real-life legend, not just on stage and screen.

I fan-girled hard over Tina Landon in the ladies’ room and asked for a selfie. She was beyond kind.

For the people back home in PA: Abby asked about Skip and wishes him well.

Took pics with young dancers that inspire my students and myself.

Most importantly, Dancers Against Cancer was celebrated and funded for more families in our community to continue to fight.

And finally, I was reminded that what I do makes a difference, and I left with my cup running over.

✨STAR SHOWCASE✨day was FULL of core memories for ALL of our National team because EVERY dancer was able to re-perform!!

We were proud to have SEVEN pieces chosen to represent our studio to re-compete, as well as our Production number earned a Star Showcase performance. Watching our entire National team work together and put on an amazing show one final time was definitely a highlight!!

A special congratulations to WIPEOUT, choreographed by Jacqui Picariello, for winning Grand National Champion! The future is bright for our DCDA minis!!

We’d also love to highlight:
DCDA for winning a coveted “Studio of the Year” award
Julianna Whitaker on being the recipient of the “Future Star” award
And Jodie Points for receiving “Best Choreography” for Tutti Fruity And a special recognition also goes to our opening number performers who worked so hard all week to bring a FABULOUS piece to stage. Thank you @dancingbear1994 for giving them a wonderful experience.

BIG thank you’s go to Meghan, Kristyn and the entire @dancekar Hartford staff for producing a wonderful event for our dancers. Your positivity, extra touches and professionalism are so appreciated, and we are grateful for your hard work and attention to detail.

*See comments for more of our gratitude!!
