When I was 10, I’d sit in the studio watching you mum, recording vocals for your album, one of the first Christian pop albums in Australia. I remember sitting there next to your producer soaking in what he was doing and at the same time watching you record vocals absolutely doting on you. You eventually toured, chased the dream, and truly did the thing.

Then one day you came home from tour, saw how the time away was affecting us, and gave it all up. No hesitation. That was the moment you showed me what love really is: sacrifice.

Since that day we have travelled together, laughed together, cried together, prayed together then laughed & laughed again. Our catch ups are always epic, you’ll tell a story like it’s the last one on earth!

You are a wildly colorful garden of God’s love, strength, and service Mum. You’ve prayed me through my darkest seasons, told me to get back up in love more times than I can count, and fasted for me when I was walking through hell. I felt every prayer.

I’ve watched you walk through loss, tragedy, sickness, and betrayal with grace and honor — all while still offering the world around you open arms and a smile. You have taught me so much Mum, you truly are the big hug in so many people’s lives, but mostly mine.

I love you Mum - Happy Mothers Day!!! 🌹 taken in Franklin, Tennessee by @dreamlabmusic
