Alex had dreamed of meeting Jessica Lange for ten years.

At our Brooklyn room in August, he said it out loud, and Sophie @sophiedemorelos gave him a tip: celebrities show up at film festivals.

Then came a screening of her film in New York, with a Q&A after. Alex sat in the first row. When the interviewer asked the audience for questions, he raised his hand and asked her what rituals she keeps before she goes on stage or in front of the camera. She answered for about three minutes. His friend filmed it, and the video has about 40,000 views on his Instagram.

At New York No. 2 in East Harlem, he told the room how it happened. Then he named his next dream: assistant director on Broadway. He moves to New York this winter, and in his words: “Somebody knows people in New York in theater. Please connect me with them.” @alex_chernenko_life

At Dreams & Obstacles @dreamsandobstacles by @juicytimes.nyc created by @fedor.worlds, dreamers say a dream out loud, and name what stands in its way. Then the whole room takes the obstacles apart: introductions, practical solutions, and breakthrough ideas.

The next room is Wednesday, November 18, at El Barrio’s ArtSpace PS109 @elbarriosartspace in East Harlem.

Your next big idea might need a stranger’s advice—or their uncle’s phone number. @dreamsandobstacles, the Brooklyn-born gathering whose viral post sparked hosting interest in 37 cities across 15 countries, makes its South Florida debut this Saturday in Dania Beach. Here’s the setup: Share your dream, explain what’s blocking it and let the room offer connections, resources and practical ideas. Hosted by Gala Parker at @opencreatorstudio, the October 24 session runs from 1 to 4 p.m., with just 10 seats available. Tickets start at $30 for the first six seats, then $40, and the address comes with your ticket. Browardist chatted with creator Fedor Sokolov about how it started, why it caught on and what to bring besides a big ambition. @alpaka_raplapla brought so many amazing ideas to our first meeting about dreams & obstacles

to name a few💡:

🎹 A dream fund

The big one: every room raises money for the dreams people share there.

✨ Supporter tickets. Next to the regular ticket, a $50 or $100 one, where the extra goes into the fund. Supporters get a perk, like their name on the next poster, so they become dream sponsors

✨ Musicians. An artist plays during the room, and the tips split 50/50 between them and the fund, so the artist earns and the dreams get funded

✨ Who gets it. We said voting can be gamed, so maybe a jury of Juicy artists decides once a month, like the Oscars, or we simply split it equally. We try one system, see how it works, then try the other if we need to.

✅ My favorite thing about what we are building with @juicytimes.nyc is that it only works when we do it together!

3 ways for artists to make extra money 🍊

financial challenges artists face in NYC and worldwide are real.

artists are essential for humanity’s future.

That’s why I am developing tools to help artists not just survive but thrive: co-hosting events together, offering discounts to your audience for ticket sales, and a new grant for wild event ideas.

I believe that win-win wins and that we are always stronger together and I want to show how it works in practice

Dm me if you want to get in board 🚀
