❤️🙏 I just wanted to not let another moment slip by without giving a big huge loving shoutout to my very smart, talented, loyal, hardworking, sensitive, caring, kind, wildly hysterical, totally awesome and on and on do it all, Life COO, partner-in-crime, @dressthegallagher, Sydney Gallagher!

👯‍♂️💪 Just last night, I was with a group of industry mate pals to celebrate friendship during the holidays. The topic of finding a good assistant came up amongst the group along with the resounding sentiment of how hard it is to find one. Above all else, I have always needed someone who is a self starter. Sydney is everything I mentioned and more. She is interested, proactive, talented and is not afraid to get her hands dirty. She knows how to read my mind, she reads my mind, she offers to do anything and everything to support me. She is not lazy or entitled. I have always had a hard time asking my assistants to do grunt work because I think it is degrading and I don't think I am teaching much in allowing that, but because Sydney is SO good, she allows ME to grow.

🤣🏃‍♀️She runs errands, goes back to the house if someone forgets something, makes me laugh, wipes my tears, makes my children laugh, and she knows how to talk to colleagues and constituents like me. I feel comfortable with her making important phone calls on my behalf. How could I not mention that she even set and reset the mousetraps in my house. Most of all, she is a decent and good person who understands my personal and professional convictions and values, and she cares about what matters most. In my almost 15 years of operating this business, she is one of the greatest blessings to come my way which makes her one of the many, many things I have to be thankful for this holiday season.

👏🥂 If you've made it this far, will you please join me in saying Hip Hip Hooray, Sydney!!! And NO, you may not have her! Where would I have been the last year and a half plus without Sydney? Maybe in a gutter. Maybe not, but I'm all the better because of Sydney! Isn't she lovely? 😍💕 by @dressthegallagher

🛒🗂️ I recently made my first ever visit to @aritzia at @southparkmallnc while shopping with @dressthegallagher for one of our younger clients. Having never been to the store, Sydney explained it is one of her favorites for all age groups and that they have both workwear and denim, making it a one stop shop for elevated basics.

🕰️👢 While purusing on a time schedule, always, Sydney set out for items she needed while I hit up the most darling associate, @atbrinkleyy, for help on my end. I always love a denim with cowgirl boots, though I had never considered longer denim jorts for the look. While I'm not so sure I could pull off the look at my age, 48, I couldn't help but ask AT if we could feature her in a What She Wore post. Effortless, I'll say! #DressToExpress

🔥🎤 The 5th annual @artpopstreetgallery gala was a smash hit, and I now have my first emcee experience under my belt! Everyone from designer to back stage grip to attendee brought the heat, and @blumestudiosclt is an incredible venue!

🧥W E L L • S U I T E D 🥃

🎥👖An old Hollywood glam all menswear looked inspired by my Grandmother + Katharine Hepburn took me straight to @taborclt with @brookewerhane @dressthegallagher for a suit up session with @newkirk_interiors. Throw in a raw ribeye steak from @melvinhillmeats + neat bourbon, and the stage is set for a perfect match for my cleaned paired down dinner for one.

🍽️🥩 A vintage dining table with a curved lucite base is paired with postmodern deco-style black lacquer dining chairs sourced by Melanie Gregory of @swankhomeinteriors. Adkins’ grandmother’s vanity, a favorite inherited piece, serves as an unexpected-yet-stylish buffet. The vintage Chinese screen was purchased at an estate sale, and the cheetah candlesticks were a surprise gift from a friend. The rug is from interior designer @ashleydelapp, and the coral chandelier is from @ballarddesigns. A storage cabinet gets a makeshift entertainment area glow up.
