ABOUT ME

❤️‍🔥 I write Epic Fantasy

🫡 My series was inspired by my third watch-through of Attack on Titan. I've now watched it four times, and am working through the manga in its original Japanese.

🎥 Fractures was written with the aspiration to eventually move it into the visual mediums. Particularly anime. You may be able to tell during the action scenes. My goal is to have it on screen before I die.

✍️ I've been writing Fractures since 2024 at the pace of a book per year. I aim to have the final volume published by 2028.

🇨🇦🇺🇲🇯🇵 I'm Canadian, but live full-time with my family of 6 in our travel-trailer, circling Canada & the US as the weather permits.
In 2025, we bought a house in Toyama, Japan and live there 3-6 months of the year now as well!

📺 Favorite movies are LOTR (extended), The Last Samurai, Braveheart.

🖥 Top 3 Anime series: Attack on Titan (obviously), Vinland Saga, Demon Slayer.

🦎 I have no pets, but grew up raising all sorts of reptiles.

👨‍👧‍👧 I have 3 girls and 1 boy.

🥽 I'm a ticketed, red-seal welder.

🥋 I'm a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and used to fight professional MMA (before age beat me up)

✝️ I was raised Christian, lost my faith while suffering depression, then came back to God late into my 30s.

🎸 I used to play lead guitar in a punk band.

🎭 I'm the creator of the largest Brazilian Jiu-jitsu meme page on Instagram, @because_jitsu

🎮 I am obsessed with watching people speedrun Mario games and hacks.

It's finally done.

This audiobook is more than a story, it's an experience. Even as the author, it gives me chills and brings me to tears after the way it came out.

And after reading all 151,000 words... I have no words.

I hope you enjoy the continuing adventure.

In peace,
~ Drew Weatherhead

"Gräm may very well lead her children into hell, but the children of Psōel, we’ve built hell for ourselves right here and called it peace!"

"The spirit of Psōel has no love. He doesn’t even want our love! He wants their suffering, and he wants us to praise him for it!”

Witness the struggle from the other side.

Continue the adventure with Fractures in Peace.

Fractures is an emotionally charged, 4-part Epic Fantasy inspired by Attack on Titan.

It follows the horrors of war, slavery, and vengeance through the lens of two generationally opposed races who have BOTH had their turns being the masters and the slaves of the other.

The first 2 books are the exact same timeline, but seen through the eyes of one of the two races.

Follow the struggle, pain, anger, and vengeance that leads to an ultimate, tragic clash between chaos, order, and the gods that crave them!

Fractures isn't exactly like Attack on Titan, but... it's not exactly NOT like Attack on Titan.

The problem with seeing two sides is finding out there are no sides.

More reviews have been landing lately. With a 5-star average, there's one thing they all have in common - there's a lot more to Fractures in Love than anyone expected!

Are you ready to start the adventure?

Before all the Howlers chew me up, I DID enjoy the book! But I had it placed upon the highest of pedestals thanks to the series' ravenous fandom.

The first arc, the Eo arc, was the most compelling for me. Legitimately emotional and built the broiling need for vengeance Red Rising used as fuel for every proceeding arc.

I'm the kinda guy you can get with good, heart-rending emotional writing. And, I'm told there's still lots of that to come in the series. So...

Though I may be the last reader on Bookstagram to have started this one, I've got the next two queued up and am ready for Pierce to hurt me 🙂👍

I recently finished the phenomenally made audiobook for this, @noahsbriskreviews 's debut novel.

Wow.

One of the things that really set this one apart for me, story aside (and the story was great), was Noah's prose. It bent lyrical in the most captivating way.

I've never heard some of the descriptions he used for certain sights, sounds, and smells before his uses of them. And they caused the world of Ashkareth to come to life in the most visceral way.

If grimdark adjacent is your jam, this is your new favorite universe.
