A classic kind of chemistry ♥️

Matt was kind enough to walk us through the chemical process of how historical portraits were taken! So cool! He uses a chemical mixture from ~1860s that etches photos into a metal sheet. That means our portrait is permanently fused into the iron without risk of fading or bending 🥹

Such a sweet mix of a glimpse into the past and into the future. Can’t wait to age through more portraits with you @drew_by_doo 🫶

If you’re ever in the St. Augustine area, Matt’s studio is a must!! taken in Historic St. Augustine by @drew_by_doo

In March, we started our first home garden! We were a little late in the season and nervous to see if our veggies would survive the St. Pete sunshine ☀️

Now, we’re regularly harvesting sweet cherry tomatoes, fresh jalapeños, and lots of basil (homemade pesto allllll the time!)

In a few months we’ll be planning our winter bed 😌
