Taking a little break from my usual posts to share some senior sessions! These photos date back to when I first started freelancing, while others were taken this year.

Work like this is always such a fun change of pace and I love getting to capture each senior in a way that feels true to them. From their favorite locations to the little details that show off their personalities, every session is unique and special in its own way.

I’ve been pretty terrible about sharing my work lately, so here’s an attempt to change that. These images were shot for @pursuitglacierpark last fall in Glacier National Park. We timed the shoot perfectly with the larches turning and even managed to catch a rainbow along the way 🌈 taken in Glacier National Park by @drew_silvers

Kerlingarfjöll was the most unique hike of our trip! Imagine combining Glacier NP with Yellowstone NP, and you get this unreal place. Hiking through geothermal mountains with steam shooting out of the ground in every direction was absolutely wild. We camped just below the area at Highland Base, which also had my favorite hot spring of the entire trip. Would go back here in a heartbeat! taken in Kerlingarfjöll by @drew_silvers

Hvítserkur 🐘 / This elephant-shaped basalt sea stack is home to several bird species, while the surrounding ocean was teeming with all kinds of jellyfish. A pretty special place and one we won’t be forgetting anytime soon.

Seljalandsfoss might have been the busiest waterfall of the trip, but holy smokes was it impressive. Then seemingly out of nowhere, this paraglider came ripping back and forth over the falls. Such a rad subject, adding just the right amount of spice to these photos. Hverfjall 🌋 Hiking around the rim of this massive crater was CRAZY! It’s one of the largest of its kind on the planet. The wind was absolutely WILD up here, but that didn’t stop us from having the best time. With a beer and glass of wine in hand we soaked in the incredible views and created honeymoon memories we’ll never forget.

The surrounding lava field stretches across the landscape, with geothermal activity beneath the ground forming some of Iceland’s famous nature baths. And just below Hverfjall sits the legendary Grjótagjá cave, made famous by Game of Thrones. Scroll to the end for a video from inside! taken in Hverfjall by @drew_silvers

Wildenmattenhütte — stayed two nights here last month. Tons of memories created with some of the most amazing people in my life. Super special staying at both chalets this summer (both for our first time). Even more special being the last guests at Sperry Chalet for the season. What an amazing experience, the staff truly pampered us. Delicious food, cozy cabin, and beautiful views. Thankful the weather cooperated for the entire trip!

Our personal favorite hike of the trip: Múlagljufúr Canyon. It genuinely felt like we’d been teleported to another planet. The views were so surreal and unbelievable, we couldn’t help but think, “Where are we?!” #iceland taken in múlagljúfur by @drew_silvers
