A little brightness to warm up your Labor Day weekend. 🌞 Still wanting to hang on to summer? So are we, with our to-go mixers that taste like summer in a bottle.

Hi all! We (Marida @slow_instants and Philip @endsofthe_earth ) are excited to collaborate and host our first local photo walk together. We’re inviting you to come join us on Sept 19th in the city we love so much - Long Beach! This is a free event for those who want a safe space to explore your creativity with a camera, connect with locals, and explore our city’s neighborhoods.

WHO WE ARE: community loving creative enthusiasts with a passion for intentional projects.

MEET UP LOCATION: Hartland’s Cafe, 1900 E Ocean Blvd. 2nd Floor, Long Beach

GAMEPLAN: Meet up at 10:30am, grab coffee/snacks to go from the cafe, welcome/introduction. We’ll aim to start the walk at 11 am and reach our destination by 1 pm.

THE PLAN/ROUTE: Hartland’s to the Bluff on Ocean, Bixby Park, Alamitos Beach neighborhood, a section of 4th street corridor / Retro Row, ending at our friends Golden State Camera who will be welcoming us with snacks & beverages!

WHAT TO BRING: Good vibes, sun protection, and ANY camera - film, digital, point & shoot, or phone. They are all acceptable! We welcome all levels, backgrounds, and skills!

OUR GOALS:
- to get more familiar with our personal cameras
- to cultivate the habit of noticing, to practice composition skills
- to work on storytelling through visuals
- to work on evoking emotions through visuals
- to discover new creative inspirations
- get to know the neighborhoods & small businesses in Long Beach
- connect with people with similar interests

Lastly, please note that a farmer’s market is happening nearby so please give yourself a decent amount of time for parking. Carpooling, biking (if local) & rideshare encouraged!
