📍Copenhagen.

Made it to Denmark for the World Road Running Championships. The last workout is in the books — now it’s just about trusting the work. Come Saturday, 2:40 local, I’ll leave everything out there. Always an honor to wear the USA kit. See you all on the other side. 🇺🇸 by @drewhunter00

Amazing weekend at the @falmouthroadrace.

Started the weekend off on Friday with a 3:51 mile PB for 🥈

Saturday morning we had a great group run with @the_run_house and @asicsrunning !

Saturday evening was a Q&A panel with other @asics athletes.

And Sunday I got to finally run the iconic @falmouthroadrace 7 Mile road race. My cup is filled.

This training block has been great for @wrrccopenhagen26 and this weekend we were able to see that we’re on the right path. Looking forward to the next few weeks of more of the same. by @drewhunter00

Hey y’all—

Hope everyone’s been having a great summer! I’m popping on here to tell you about a little project we’ve got in the works—and how you can be part of it.

When I qualified for the World Road Running Championships back in May, there was a ton of excitement. It was my big goal for the year. I get to represent the US. I get to race in Copenhagen. You get the point.

But in the back of my mind, I was a little nervous about how it might all play out. My wife is due with our third child about seven weeks before the race. And if my first two kids taught me anything, those seven weeks won’t exactly be ideal for training.

When I talked it through with the people closest to me, they all said pretty much the same thing: it would be challenging, but worth it. That I could do it—be a good dad and a good athlete at the same time. I’m not sure they’re right. But I figured either way, it would make a good story.

So that’s exactly what we decided to do: tell the story.

“Due Dates” is a mini-documentary we’re building all summer long — from the moment qualifying became real, through the newborn nights and one of the biggest training block of my career, all the way to the start line in Copenhagen. The full film (30min +) drops after Worlds, October 2026. All I need from all of you is to subscribed to my YouTube channel so you know when the full documentary is out.

This wouldn’t be possible without the support of @asics, @thule, and @trainingpeaks. Thank you. by @drewhunter00

Despite being a 4x NCAA Champion, 2x Olympian, and 13:00 5K runner, Morgan McDonald discovered that he was actually underdeveloped on the aerobic side of things.

He talks through the process of uncovering his specific strengths and weaknesses as an athlete, and why he made the switch to more aerobic-based, pure threshold training on the latest episode of The HAX Show.

Tune in on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts!

A friend asked about my relationship with running. I’ve been at it for over a decade at a high level — and I’m more in love with it than ever. Not despite the difficulty. Because of it.

The practice deepens you. Prayer, running, anything worth doing: the more you commit, the more you understand what you’re actually building. It stops being about endurance and starts being about identity.

I’ve been reading Augustine’s Confessions, and he understood this. We’re always sinking deeper into mystery — and that’s not a problem to solve, it’s the point. He wrote that it’s better to love the mystery of seeking God without full comprehension than to understand the mechanics of time and miss God entirely.

Running taught me the same thing. Every mile reveals something about who I am — but never the whole picture. You don’t run to solve yourself. You run every day to know yourself better, to lean into what you can’t fully understand, and to find out how good you can actually be.

That’s where the real purpose is.

Also, it’s fun. by @drewhunter00
