I remember what I was doing in September!! Yoga teacher training and training for a 50k in Moab took up most of my time!!

October started off with a 50k!!! It was definitely the hardest I’ve ever pushed myself physically, and it was one of the most amazing trips… I mean experiences… in my life! Will probably be doing that again! I finished in just over 7 hours.

And @beccabeckham_ met @katedunnsassy that weekend!!! 🙌

And college friends came to visit: @j_crow11 and @ejrdude 💜

Saw Parcels at red rocks @nicole_schoenfeld and @katelynsand and @paigem.roberts and it was one of the best shows of the year!!

And then there was Danceportation!! Had an amazing group!! @kcolson.art @aamandarin @sweetteets89 @carlyannecarlyanne @beccabeckham_ @arvislayton @elliottregan @whereisriddle @paigem.roberts @vivalavidaquequieres @wheresthemeow and Ellen and Mark!

And Halloween weekend with @kellbrusk !! We went to itchy-o and tracks!!

And there was KrustyGiving at @lizhaizlip111 @nickficer @cody.esco @badromance_________

And I saw Apashe at red rocks!! w/ @katelynsand and met @ackmaynard and Erik and Cheeto and Jacob and this was definitely the most epic show of the year! There was the full orchestra and Alina Pash who was absolutely fabulous!! Such a fun show!!

Got maybe the coolest invite to a party I’ve ever received!! Courtesy of the @the_waxsealsociety and we dressed up as ourselves on our darkest timeline and you betcha I was a redneck with a mullet and a goatee!!! 😂😂😂 @tessablair13 @al_ana9755

And December was full of gatherings and it was such a gift to gather and connect and reminisce!!

@beccabeckham_ threw a wrapped party that will hopefully be an annual event!

@arvislayton threw an amazing cocktail party for his I wanna say 63rd birthday?? 😜

And I hosted a fun little game night/party where we all asked each other slightly invasive questions.

And took my first gymnastics class w/ @ackmaynard at 37!! What?? I can kind of do a cart wheel now!

And then spent the holidays traveling around Utah w/ @nicole_schoenfeld on an absolutely amazing adventure!! Zion, Canyonlands, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Goblin Valley State Park, and Paria Canyon. by @drewiec

Then did a couple 14ers with @bpatinka and we did our hobbit dance!!!! 😂😂😂

And went camping for her birthday, w/ @kellbrusk

And then we did the tenmile peak traverse in Breckenridge! Well almost we didn’t finish peak 10 because we ran out of daylight because we got a late start and neither of us had a headlamp as we both assumed the other had one!! 😂 it was soo fun!!

And Tara taught me how to make risotto! I think I need another lesson. And @nizattack at art walk on Santa Fe!

And then did a climbing trip to wild iris w/ @aamandarin and @sweetteets89

And then hiked the four pass loop with @vivalavidaquequieres and ellen and Matt and it was absolutely gorgeous!!!

What a start to 2025!! Full of sooo many firsts and new friends I couldn’t be more grateful to have in my life!!

I started off the year in Guatemala on a yoga retreat led by @ashlynbugbee that was life changing. I signed up for it after a yin class at @movementgymscolorado. I was feeling isolated and lonely and without a community.

I had just met @beccabeckham_ at the gym and @tessablair13 skiing. I was roommates with @lizhaizlip111 on retreat. And had no idea how meaningful those friendships would be.

I also met @msantg in Guatemala and she introduced me to @rebekahboatrite who is teaching the yoga teacher training I’m in. And they are both huge inspirations and amazing teachers to learn from! by @drewiec

Sangha (spiritual family!)

Lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu
May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all.

Four Immeasurables of the Heart (Buddha’s Divine Abodes)
1. Metta: Loving Kindness (May you be safe & well)
2. Mudita: Selfless Joy (May you be happy & joyous)
3. Karuna: Compassion (May you be free of your suffering)
4. Upeeka: Equanimity (learning the openness of non-reactivity)
(5.) Kshama: Forgiveness

These mantras and ideals were my main takeaways from this retreat. Reintegrating the lessons and tools will take a continual effort and I know I have the support of my sangha!

This retreat was life changing. I feel like I started the new year off with a rebirth! 💜🇬🇹

Many thanks to @ashlynbugbee for taking us all on this spiritual and healing journey!! 🫶 taken in Lake Atitlan, Solola, Guatemala by @drewiec
