Right now this color is everywhere. On photos, reels, the deep-thought captions. And it works. Stops the scroll every time. For about a week. A trend can borrow you attention. It can’t build you a brand. When the color moves on, and it will, you’re left with whatever you actually built underneath it. Ride the trend. Just don’t confuse a color everyone’s using with a brand only you have. One outlasts the other. #branding #brandstrategy #wemakecoolshit taken in MCS by @drewobrien

“Can you make us a logo?” We get this all the time. Yes, we can. But a logo with no strategy, no type rules, no colors, no system behind it is just a nice looking mark. Look at the Nike swoosh with none of the meaning behind it. No “just do it,” no tone, no energy. Just an abstract checkmark. The logo isn’t the brand. The brand is everything around it that makes it mean something. We build that first, then the logo that lives inside it. #branding #brandstrategy #logodesign #designagency taken in MCS by @drewobrien

MCS On Film. Volume 1. We passed around a disposable camera and let it roll. No plan, no retouching, just the moments in between. We handed a few cameras to our clients too, so more volumes are coming soon. by @drewobrien

Some businesses don’t just open in a town. They become part of it. We sat down with @cutbyzane founder of @keycuts on Church Street, for a conversation about craft, community, and what it means to build something that lasts in the town that raised you. Every brand starts on paper, never on a screen. Two hundred sketches deep, one of them stops you cold. You don't decide it's right. You feel it. Like a chef who knows the steak is done without ever cutting in. That feeling takes years to earn. New here? Follow along. This is how we build every brand. by @drewobrien
