As promised/ warned 😆
After 10 years without a real break on Etsy... I've decided now is a very good time to do just that!
I will endeavour to return with a refined little place on etsy, but for a few months I simply need some time off to rebuild my workshop, travel & relax a little!!
It's been a massive pleasure and honour to create a tiny piece of 'art' for all who've blessed my little shop.
I think, primarily as an artist at heart, wishing to encourage the full understanding of oneself, mind, body & soul.
To appreciate that whichever way you look at it, however massive or small ya ego, introvert, extrovert,
We are all a tiny piece of the creative miracle of love, trying to untwist itself into .. a dolphin, 42, a long dead giants testicle?

Runes I belive, a perfect medium for this message.
24 tiny individual works, all with their own meanings to explore, all bound by a blob of carbon

Anyway, I've literally just been pronounced a walking talking medical miracle - and for me, at this point in time,
Well I have nothing but gratitude, respect and love for Katherine, and my liver/ hepatology team at @southmeadpatientexperience.
For ongoing critical care both there, & well basically up North too now!

All due to my journeys with ridiculous alcohol addiction for around a decade surviving on NOTHING but the parassitic poison for the last 3 years leading to a seriously traumatic/learning experience in hospital.

I turned the entire thing around from 48 hr to live, near death experiences with liver damage and disease.

Such that, 14 years on, I've outlived my own liver disease prognosis on a diet based around completely pure water... vitamin, minerals with a few choice extras & a bit of what the body fancies BUT letting nothing into the system without a seriously narcy amount of scrutiny. 😆 🤣
Bit like thoth elixir bollocks if ya catch my drift.

Oh... and of course creating an absolute mammoth amount of runes and some very shadowy art.. or relics of experience as I prefer.
They ain't art until capitalism. 😉

I'll still be posting here with hopefully a little bit more around my experience with rather than just work.

I'm in the middle of The Garage 'Big Think' as the sheds now as organised as a kitchen should be as the NHS is not.
When I say 'big think', I basically mean my feet taking myself into said space whilst my brain kicks the crap outta itself for thinking about thinking about how to think about said space given a garage ain't a cabin. It is troublesome.

Ooo... you Gotta laugh as myself & the team in Bristol recognise just how national our national service is Not.. esp concerning critical care; It shouldn't be this hard to move proper treatment, and it is shocking just how unintergrated this system is, with itself!!
And you shouldn't laugh like kids during an ultrasound, or should.. dunno.

Anyway... Sennen is home to the Roundhouse... once used to hall boats up the slip, then a little craft oddity/gift shop, to full blown art gallery in present days...
The building alone is stunning!
They had at least ten of Praed's work... and for myself to now own an original.... well it's an honour, privilege and a bit of a dream complete.

Pretty pictures they are not.... and if that's all they are in someone's eyes, then in my opinion and existence... that someone is a little dead inside.

Boscawen-Ûn

A beautiful stroll through bracken lined paths leads to one of the most quietly magical stone circles I've visited..
19 upright granite stones (one of which is white quartz), 1 leaning central menhir.... The site is aligned with solar and lunar cycles; the central stone faces the midsummer solstice sunrise, and the quartz stone may mark the sun's movement after All Souls' Day.

This place is enclosed by a growth covered dry stone wall ... adding to it's sense of complete privacy and peace from the maelstrom outside.. it is a truly magical ambience taken in Boscawen-Ûn Stone Circle by @drexll_studios

Chun Quoit and Castle.. regardless of where the klf say they are!!
The Castle itself... or utterly catastrophic remnants of, requires some serious time.
And it's a beautiful spot to take just that!
Trying to envisage not only the Castle itself, but rising from dense woodland area with paths leading to wherever you're imagination and feet roam, looking over and towards other sites making the entire network weave together. by @drexll_studios

And as an 'artist' and hue man pressed to humour gaudy clowns as they lecture on colour spectrums.
I wonder...
On a material spectrum of Nuclear white and a black so black that it eats your soul* all the way to Ton 618

Line of site and geographical alignments.
One can really only imagine the whys, wherefore, and how's.... but knowing you can firmly throw our modern conception of time and multiple changes of bullshit calendar systems out the window, followed by the fact this was all forest ... and you are well and truly in the land of bob only knows.
Everything is a sodding 'ritual' even brushing your teeth, it's such a lame flavoured excuse for not knowing ... and given the fact we blew the crap outta sites like these for target practice in ww2... it's almost as if they just love erasing our history, especially the good bits.

The interconnected alignments of neolithic / bronze age sites following lines formed between natural outcrops where first settlements settled..... say at the very least... we've devolved our fkin eyesight...

And given our current hatred towards our own nature as we stand on our heads.. I'm not entirely convinced bout our own alignment. taken in Carn Galvar by @drexll_studios

Carn Galver..... tor / tin mine and surrounding area.
This place... the ancient tin mine and surrounding area holds immense significance for me.
The image of the mine is permanently seared into my mind from sketches upon sketches upon studies upon canvases from the yesterday's of my 'art' path.
Indeed an entire year of focused studies and 'finished' pieces were dedicated to this place.... I called modern megaliths.

The entire area is scattered with 'modern megalithic' structures intertwined with truly ancient megalithic stone circles, barrows, quoit and standing stones... I'll post later.

But it is the mine itself which truly spiked my interest at first,
to the deep deep historically significant place which Cornwall is....

These mines represent a history not long ago inhabited yet already becoming beyond our grasp.... but also hint at a far far older worldwide trade of what was known as the best tin in the world, traded throughout the bronze age (from which the ancient megalithic structures date and pre date) as key to bronze production to places worldwide. Spain, Portugal, Egypt etc etc.

We're led to believe so much bullshit...
