3 years ago we made the bold decision to take a chance on our favorite city, San Francisco and raise our family in this dynamic and complex city.

Happy Veteran’s Day to our Veteran.
Many might not know that while he completed his active duty he still serves in the Air Force Reserves between being a devoted husband, daddy and oral surgeon.
We think he’s a pretty great example of striving for greatness and representing 🇺🇸 by @drgurries.oms

Patient anxiety and dental work are no strangers to one another. We’ve collaborated to create patient education with an expert in evidenced-based strategies to minimize these very common yet challenging feelings that one might experience when in our office.

This patient came in for his one week follow up this week. Everything is looking amazing, can’t wait to see him completely healed in a few months. Immediate implants in the esthetic zone can be tricky. Rarely is it better to reconstruct what was already there instead of preserving the gingival and bone if we can. This Fractured #8 was mobile. Was able to extract, place an immediate implant, and fabricate an immediate temporary provisional for him chairside. This will help maintain the papillae and bone making the final crown and delivery much more predictable. He also loves not having to use something removable during the healing phase. Salute and Smile will provide the opportunity to receive a complimentary full-arch restoration to a Veteran in need.”

Full Arch Rehabilitation:

A full arch implant prosthesis is for those who are either currently wearing a full removable denture or who need their remaining teeth extracted to get a full removable denture. These teeth will not come out, will not move, and will restore the ability to chew foods that are difficult to eat with full dentures and other removable options. While these options can be cost-prohibitive for some, we are hoping to help a veteran with this life-changing procedure.

Immediate #24 and #26 with an immediate provisional to replace #24-26. These teeth were mobile with infection. The patient wanted to know if there was a way he could have everything done at once and not have to go without teeth. He also wanted to avoid a flipper if possible. Glad everything worked out. #blx implants were used and I fabricated the provisional chairside. At the 3 month FU, tissues looked healthy and ready for the final restoration. Had this been in the maxilla or if esthetics were more of a concern, I would have contoured the FDP differently to allow more papilla growth.
