A day in the life on tour with Aja Monet

An early start, a nearly missed train, missing luggage, a lost voice, and a long way from home. Through it all, Aja offers an intimate look at what it takes to bring these shows from city to city, from the work behind the scenes to the connection that happens once everyone is in the room together.

“It’s not easy to be an artist. It’s not easy to be a musician at this time. I know all of us are struggling. We’re going through a lot in this world. But I want you to know you’re not alone.”

Thank God for music and poetry.

Aja’s latest album, "the color of rain" is out now. Find it on Bandcamp at the link in bio.

"At the heart of Tether is a search for refuge from the commercial mainstream — an artist wrestling with the cost of being seen, and the reward of finally sounding like herself." Read more and listen to @annahstasia's debut album Tether on the Cantilever app 🤍 by @drinksumwtr

I love the joys that come from a singular moment of connection!
Met @eli.fola many years ago at art basel where he played a truly liberating house set. We reconnected in Abidjan when I was there for the @lafourchettederoze1 residency. Many months later this remix materialized.

We are so glad to be releasing it just in time for the remainder of summer. I hope it finds you on a beach somewhere. ✨🫶🏾

Out tomorrow August 5th in all the usual places.

Finer Friends - It’s Elujay from around the way! This young king is rapidly ascending with no sign of slowing. Grab this foundational artifact or regret it later. Shouts to the venerable drink sum wtr with the vision as always.

Signed copies are live on our site and in-store. Limit one per customer.
