We launched this program by accident.

Just over a year ago, I launched the Driven Dad Podcast, which lead me to interview dads leading incredible lives.

The “high” of being around the type of people who came on the podcast was remarkable. I’d finish a show and be fired up by their energy and stories.

But the “high” was short lived. I’d be right back at the grind by myself behind my desk once the interview was over.

I wanted to find a way to profit from being in proximity of that type of energy, in a permanent manner.

When my friend @martinlatulippe_csp came on the show, we had a conversation afterwards that stayed with me.

I was riffing questions about everything at him about helping dads. “How can I add value to their life?”

He stopped me and said: “Proximity is where the value stands.”

That’s when the shift happened in my mind.

I was chasing more of that feeling. The energy you get from being around guys who are actually building something. Who show up for their kids and still push hard in the game.

So I stopped trying to “add value” from a distance and started building the room instead.

That room is filling up as we speak and I couldn’t be more excited about what we’re building.

This is a vetted process. We’re only taking the right guys.

Comment “vetted” below and I’ll send the application link. 👊

This is Men’s Club..

At the root, it’s a community workout. But it’s more than that. We show up, sweat, grab a coffee.. however it’s the momentum it builds when you leave that really matters.

We gather to do something hard together, early in the day before most people start moving.

That creates a filter that gathers like minded guys on the same mission as you.

To show up best for yourself so you can show up best for the people you care about. You wife, kids, friends.

What you leave with is momentum to keep showing up.

See you at the next one. 👊 by @drivendadmethod

My legs cramped at 16km.

I still had over 100km to go.

120km. 3,000m of climbing. Loose, brutal terrain.

My 2026 Misogi, a goal so hard I didn’t know if I could finish it.

People keep asking me why I choose something this hard.

Because it was never about the bike.

It’s about proving to yourself you can push through way more than you thought possible.

So when the hard conversation, the hard decision, the hard season shows up in real life, you don’t run from it. You’ve already trained for it.

8 hours later, my kids watched me cross the finish line after cheering me on all day. That’s the lesson I want them to keep. Hard things aren’t something to run from.

When you choose hard, life gets easy.
Choose easy, life gets hard.

What hard thing are you putting off? Drop it in the comments. Say it out loud.

3 things you get from training hard as a dad. 👇

1• You lead by example. Your kids learn from what you do, not what you tell them to do.

2• You keep proving to yourself that you can do hard things. So when problems hit in life or business, and they will, you’ll have the resilience to come out on top.

3• You get the fulfillment of having a “quest.” It’s not selfish to have something that drives you. It makes you show up at your best for your family.

Do the work. Own the day.

Don’t tell them. Show them.

There’s no “if.” Only “when.”

Cash gets tight.
Your best employee quits.
Your kid gets sick for a week straight.
Someone you love passes.

None of us are exempt.

Here’s what I know helps: train for it before it happens.

Not just for the six pack. For what it does to your brain.

Every time you push your body through something hard on purpose, you prove to yourself you can do hard things.

That proof doesn’t stay in the gym. It shows up on the day everything’s falling apart and you need to hold it together anyway.

When I cross the finish line of an Ultra, or just grind through a workout I didn’t want to show up for, I’m proving the same thing. My mind said I can’t. I did it anyway.

The hardest days are exactly when that training pays you back.

Comment “podcast” and I’ll send you the episode with my friend Cam where we chat about doing hard things to prepare for life’s challenges.

Nobody made our kids workout.

We went camping with a few families this Summer and got a workout going with the crew most days we were there.

They just saw their parents doing it and jumped in.

That’s the whole thing right there.

You don’t teach an active life.

You live one loud enough that they want in.

My kids wanted to quit before the water hit their ankles.

I just kept saying one thing.

Things are as you say they are.

If you stand there telling yourself how cold it is, that’s what you get. Cold. That’s all your brain has room for.

But if you tell yourself the water is warm. That you can do hard things. That you want this. Your body follows.

I watched it happen in real time. Same water. Same temperature. Completely different kid.

They got in. Both of them.

And here’s the part I keep coming back to.

I didn’t teach them to tolerate cold water that day. I taught them that the story they tell themselves is the one that runs the show. In a plunge. In a classroom. In a gym. In a marriage. In a business twenty years from now.

That’s the tool. Not toughness. Mindset.

Most of us spend our lives trying to make the water warmer.

Our kids don’t need that from us.

They need to learn they get to decide what the water is.

Do the work. Own the day. by @drivendadmethod
