If you live in Baltimore and your physical therapy clinic doesn’t look like this...

You might not be getting the results you’re looking for.

Most physical therapy is a closed off room, a resistance band, and a heat pack.

Rehab 2 Perform is built like a gym for a reason:

Getting back to full strength takes real equipment, the right environment, and a plan that treats you like an athlete.

Whether you’re chasing a PR or chasing your kids around, the standard is the same.

We’re opening in Harbor Point, built by Baltimore clinicians for the Baltimore community, and serving Harbor Point, Fells Point, Canton, Federal Hill, and the surrounding city.

Drop “Baltimore” in the comments and we’ll reach out personally to get you set up.

Acute back pain can be tricky to manage when your little one needs to be picked up and carried around a lot.

Gentle stretches can help alleviate the pain, especially if the sides of your back and hips are tight. But it’s also really important to do gentle exercises to slowly strengthen the muscle.

I like to start with simple exercises like this so we can avoid overloading the muscle and irritating it more. Even light exercises can give a good stimulus to the muscle, and with appropriate intensity won’t contribute to more pain.

In these situations, scaling it back doesn’t mean you are weak. It just means that your body needs a little bit more attention to some TLC.

What are some of your favorite stretches and exercises when your back is bothering you from carrying the kids too much?

Athletes know how to push. But more effort isn’t always the answer.

Pain shouldn’t dictate how you train, compete, or show up for your team.

Your rehab should go beyond addressing an injury. It should prepare your body for everything your sport asks of it.

That’s performance-based physical therapy. 💪

What is eNPS? It’s the score that shows whether a team actually likes where they work, not just whether they show up.

This is what the team already here says about working at R2P.

10 Things I Wish I Knew As A DPT Student

Clinical rotations can make you feel like you should know more, do more, and have everything figured out already.

Looking back, some of the biggest lessons weren’t about anatomy, special tests, or exercise prescription. They were about learning how to think clinically, get comfortable being uncomfortable, take feedback, and give yourself room to grow.

Now, working with DPT students, I’m reminded that becoming a good clinician isn’t about knowing everything on day one. It’s about staying curious, being coachable, and learning how to navigate the things you don’t know yet.

If you’re in PT school or currently on a clinical rotation, save this for a day when you need the reminder.

And to the experienced clinicians: What’s one thing you wish you’d known as a student?

You’ve been training for race day. Knee pain wasn’t part of the plan.

And the last thing you want is to watch from the sidelines after putting in all that work.

Getting out of pain matters. But so does rebuilding strength, restoring confidence, and knowing you’re ready for what’s next.

Don’t just get back to running. Get back Ready 2 Perform. 🏃 taken in Rehab 2 Perform by @drjamie.dpt

We had an awesome morning at @burnbootcampedgewatermd where 13 women joined us for a pelvic floor workshop focused on navigating fitness during pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond!

We covered:
✨ Why your pelvic floor matters for exercise
✨ Leaking, pelvic pressure, and other common concerns
✨ Core strength and diastasis recti
✨ Breathing, strengthening, and pelvic floor coordination
✨ How to modify workouts and confidently return to the activities you love

The biggest takeaway? Just because something is common doesn’t mean you have to live with it!

Thank you to the Burn Boot Camp Edgewater team for having @rehab2perform and creating space for these important conversations! ❤️💙

📩 Couldn’t make the workshop? Send me a DM with your email address, and I’ll send you the information we covered!

Pelvic health physical therapy can include treatment on the table—but it shouldn’t end there.

At R2P, we help patients progress toward the real demands of motherhood: lifting, carrying, running, training and feeling confident in their bodies again.

Because motherhood is physical—and your rehab should prepare you for it.

This is pelvic health at R2P.

Your back hurts, hips feel tight, or your groin feels off. You’ve tried everything between stretching, strengthening, and massage. Feeling like you’re stuck?

Plot twist, the answer might have been inside you the whole time. These are 5 pain problems that aren’t always what you think they are.

Regardless of the endurance sport you do, your pelvic floor is constantly working in the background to manage pressure efficiently.

Our bodies are really good at sending signals, but not always good at signaling what exactly is the cause. If you think your pelvic floor might be the missing link, a pelvic health PT evaluation and examination is a great place to start!
