POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

One of the harder conversations I navigate with new moms is making time to take care of themselves. Whether it’s work or home life, there’s so much pull coming from different directions. I know how easy it is to put off the self-care to focus on something else.

The reality is, during that continually overtime makes it sooo hard for us to show up as our best selves for the people in our lives. Even just setting aside 20 minutes can have a meaningful impact.

I know we’ve all had those periods of life where we hit that burnout. Slowly getting into the habit of allowing yourself to have the self-care time that you deserve can really help reduce how frequently or intense those burnout periods are.

If you don’t even know what that self-care looks like for you, take the time to get to know yourself. Survival mode isn’t fun and it doesn’t have to be a permanent or regular thing. You deserve to be the best version of yourself.

Hip pain has a way of sneaking into your routine.

The squat you skip. The workout you change. The movements you used to love that suddenly don’t feel the same.

But you shouldn’t have to keep lowering the bar on what you want to do.

Physical therapy should do more than address what hurts. It should challenge you, build your strength, and prepare you for the workouts you love.

Because feeling better matters. Doing what you love matters more. 💪

Know someone who’s been working around hip pain? Send this their way.

Confidence matters. But what is it built on?

The HUMAC NORM gives our physical therapists objective strength data that can reveal weaknesses and asymmetries we might not otherwise see.

But the numbers are only part of the story.

It’s how our clinicians interpret that data and apply it to the individual patient that makes the difference. Identifying what needs attention, adjusting their rehab, and helping them understand where they stand as they work toward getting back to what they love.

Better information. Better decisions. More confidence in the path forward.

That’s what performance-based physical therapy is all about. 💪

The race is over. But your running goals aren’t. 🏃

Whether you tackled the Baltimore Running Festival this weekend or you’re already eyeing your next race, lingering pain shouldn’t dictate what’s next.

Recovery is more than waiting for the soreness to fade. It’s understanding what’s holding you back and building the capacity to keep doing what you love.

Still dealing with pain after race day❓ Let’s talk about what’s next🤝

SUNDAY RESET: Your hips need some attention 🔄

Crossed the finish line this weekend? In the middle of a training block? Or just putting in work at the gym? This one’s for you 🤝

We spend plenty of time building strength, but how often are we challenging rotation, mobility and control?

This week’s reset brings 4 movements to the mix to challenge your hips beyond the usual training patterns.

A little time moving differently before another week of putting in work.

Reset today. Back at it tomorrow. 💪

Save this one for your next Sunday reset. 👊

If you live in Baltimore and your physical therapy clinic doesn’t look like this...

You might not be getting the results you’re looking for.

Most physical therapy is a closed off room, a resistance band, and a heat pack.

Rehab 2 Perform is built like a gym for a reason:

Getting back to full strength takes real equipment, the right environment, and a plan that treats you like an athlete.

Whether you’re chasing a PR or chasing your kids around, the standard is the same.

We’re opening in Harbor Point, built by Baltimore clinicians for the Baltimore community, and serving Harbor Point, Fells Point, Canton, Federal Hill, and the surrounding city.

Drop “Baltimore” in the comments and we’ll reach out personally to get you set up.

What I love about working at R2P – Owings Mills:

The people we get to work with. The gym we get to work in. The emphasis on continued learning. And the clinicians around me who push themselves and each other to keep getting better.

We get to help athletes, active adults, and people working toward a more active life do things they care about—and we have the space, equipment, and team to support that process.

We’re looking to add a full-time physical therapist to our team in Owings Mills.

If this sounds like the kind of environment you’d enjoy working in, I’d love to connect. And if someone comes to mind who would be a great fit, please share this with them!

Do as we say and not how we do 😜😂.

The best warmup is the one that prepares the body for the task at hand.

So basically do what works for you!

Acute back pain can be tricky to manage when your little one needs to be picked up and carried around a lot.

Gentle stretches can help alleviate the pain, especially if the sides of your back and hips are tight. But it’s also really important to do gentle exercises to slowly strengthen the muscle.

I like to start with simple exercises like this so we can avoid overloading the muscle and irritating it more. Even light exercises can give a good stimulus to the muscle, and with appropriate intensity won’t contribute to more pain.

In these situations, scaling it back doesn’t mean you are weak. It just means that your body needs a little bit more attention to some TLC.

What are some of your favorite stretches and exercises when your back is bothering you from carrying the kids too much?

Athletes know how to push. But more effort isn’t always the answer.

Pain shouldn’t dictate how you train, compete, or show up for your team.

Your rehab should go beyond addressing an injury. It should prepare your body for everything your sport asks of it.

That’s performance-based physical therapy. 💪

Know an athlete who needs to hear this? Send it their way.
