Growing bigger, keeping the mischief!

A lovely recent visit to see a rescued elephant calf Badal which was orphaned earlier and left behind by the herd in Dalma, Jharkhand. This rescued calf is growing under the appropriate care of the Forest Department team and his mahout, Rabi.

Since the June visit earlier by Arvind, the elephant calf has grown noticeably—but remains every bit as playful! Spending time with him and the older elephant, under authorised supervision and learning about how is fed and treated and taken care off and joining in the chores along with the department staff was especially meaningful to me as a veterinarian.

Badal’s mischief and the dedication of those caring for him made this visit special.

I had the privilege of spending a memorable time with Dr. Radhakrishnan IAS Sir and Mrs. Krithiga Mam at their residence.

Drawing from his 34 years of public service, Sir shared perspectives that went beyond conventional thinking, leaving me with fresh insights and much to reflect upon.

Equally touching was Krithiga Mam’s warmth, gracious hospitality and the delicious food she personally prepared.

I was happy to share a poem I had written as a small token of admiration and respect.

A truly meaningful time, made memorable by their wisdom, simplicity and kindness.

A pleasure to recently visit and inaugurate Ubasti Cat Manor, Besant Nagar — a thoughtfully designed feline sanctuary with climbing spaces, cosy retreats and opportunities for rehabilitation and responsible adoption.

What makes it special? An adjoining café to grab a bite, sip a coffee and enjoy the company of cats, along with a pet shop, grooming facilities and more — all under one roof!☕

What I saw n learnt ! -All purpose flour is truely different from place to place , and this was made in IFB microwave ! And as I didn’t have the muffin liners I took the disposable cups🎉 Look at the crust and the taste is truely heavenly !
