This was such a big honor and at a time when alopecia and hair loss were really being discussed heavily in the media. Since then we now have two FDA approved treatments for alopecia areata! It’s a big deal and has really helped to facilitate treatment for our patients suffering from hair loss 🙏🏽

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘀 @drmeenasingh and I break it down:

☀️ Broad-spectrum SPF protects against UVA and UVB rays.
💡 Iron oxides in the tint provide added protection against visible light, including blue light.
🤎 Visible light can stimulate pigment production, causing melasma and post-inflammatory dark marks to linger—even after the inflammation has resolved.
✨ The tint also helps minimize the white cast often left by traditional mineral sunscreens.

Look for a broad-spectrum, tinted sunscreen with iron oxides and SPF 30 or higher because treating hyperpigmentation without protecting your skin is an uphill battle.
