Another week, another group of patients traveling to Raleigh for blepharoplasty. 🥹✈️

This week we’re welcoming patients from:

Hawaii and the Virgin Islands are both new ones for us! 🤯🌴

At this point, hardly a week goes by without multiple out-of-state patients traveling to see us for cosmetic eyelid surgery. And I’m still genuinely grateful every time I look at the schedule and see where everyone is coming from. 🙏🏾

How much time should you take off work after lower blepharoplasty? 👀

For most of my patients, I recommend planning on at least one week off work. 🗓️✨

But every patient and every job is different. Working from home 💻 is very different from a job that requires lifting or significant physical activity 💪🏾

We’ll give you guidance based on your recovery and the specific demands of your job. 🙌🏾

👀 Something BIG is taking shape…

It may not look like much yet 😂 but this empty space is part of the next chapter for Raleigh Eye and Face Plastic Surgery. 🚧✨

“What is recovery like after lower blepharoplasty?” 👀

Probably one of the questions I get asked the most, and I think about recovery in 3 parts:

👀 How will I LOOK?
Most of the obvious bruising and swelling settles down within about 2 weeks.

😵‍💫 How will my eyes FEEL?
Expect some dryness and eye strain for about 2 weeks.

🏃🏾‍♂️ When can I get back to NORMAL?
No strenuous exercise until day 11 💪🏾
No eye makeup for 2 weeks 💄
No contact lenses for 2 weeks 👓

There’s definitely more to recovery than this, but those are the highlights! 🙌🏾
