You’ve spent long enough staring at the ashes of your divorce.

I know, because I did too. I stood in what was left and thought I had to figure it all out by myself.

Here’s what I built on top of it:

✨A life of peace, no matter what the circumstances are.
✨A life of purity.
✨A life of sobriety.
✨A life full of confidence, love, and joy.
✨A life where I am completely obsessed with my single season.
✨A life so connected to God that nothing feels impossible.
✨A life where I can finally dream about the bigger vision for my life instead of ruminating in the past.

Yes, there’s a time to grieve and a time to be still. But there’s also a time to say, ā€œI’ve already invested so much in my past. What does it look like to invest in my future?ā€

I’m a certified life coach with 10+ years of personal development and thousands of dollars invested in it. But it wasn’t until I layered my faith on top of all of that that everything changed.

That’s the foundation I’m building Rebuilding on Purpose on.

If you’re past the fire and ready to build something no one can take from you, DM me READY. šŸ¤ by @drnicoleramirez

I’ve been sitting with an idea lately, and it has everything to do with you. šŸ‘€

It’s a little scary to say out loud, but I can’t stop thinking about it, so here goes.

The papers are signed. The dust has settled. And you’re still sitting there wondering: Is this all there is on the other side of it? Who am I now without that life? Where do I even start?

You know how to survive. What you don’t know yet is how to step into thriving.

I know, because I’ve stood in the ashes of what burned down.

And when I look at my life now, I’m in awe of what’s been built. I want to help other women build theirs on purpose.

So I’m creating Rebuilding on Purpose: a private community for women on the other side of divorce, with live coaching calls with me and a 90-day path to:

✨ Come back to yourself in hours, not days, when something triggers you
✨ Trust yourself with big decisions again
✨ Feel and access peace regardless of the circumstances
✨ Walk out with a clear plan for your next chapter

My faith is the foundation under all of it.

Here’s the honest part: I don’t have every piece figured out yet but I do have my proven frameworks in place.

That’s why I want to build this with you, not just for you.

If you join as a founding member, you get in at the lowest price this will ever be, and you help shape it from day one. It’s a small group, and spots are limited.

If that’s you, DM me READY by Monday at 8pm and I’ll send you the details.

PS if you have a woman in your life you love who needs this please send this to her or tag her in the comments section! by @drnicoleramirez

Strength is not built because the circumstances are perfect. It’s built in spite of them.

I have goals I can’t see the finish line of yet. Some days it looks like they’re not going to happen and I keep going anyway.

Not because I can force the outcome but because I know who I’m becoming in the process. And she doesn’t quit when things get hard.

Why are we waiting until it looks possible to start believing? That’s not faith. Faith is lacing up even when it doesn’t look possible.

You don’t need perfect conditions. You need the next step. Then the next one. And the next one.

What God has for you is inevitable. Your part is to keep showing up for it. šŸƒā€ā™€ļø

So tell me, what are you still running toward? šŸ‘‡ by @drnicoleramirez

I really thought I was being faithful.

I was praying. I was journaling. I was ā€œwaiting on God.ā€ And I kept telling myself that when He made it clear, loud and clear, I’d move.

But girl… if I’m honest, I wasn’t waiting on God. I was waiting on a guarantee. I wanted to know it would work out before I took one single step. And that’s not faith. That’s fear with a Bible verse on it.

Here’s what I didn’t want to admit: my struggle isn’t believing I can. It’s trusting myself. Once you’ve chosen something you never should have chosen, part of you stops trusting your own yes. So you decide… and then you negotiate. You decide again… and you negotiate again. And you call it ā€œdiscernment.ā€

There are seasons when God says be still. I believe that. But He also said, over and over, do not be afraid. If fear is the reason you’re not moving, it isn’t God keeping you there.

Faith doesn’t need the whole map. It takes the next step and trusts a good Father to redirect you if you get it wrong. And He does. The voice behind you saying ā€œthis is the wayā€ comes while you’re walking.

So let me ask you what I’ve been asking myself:

If fear weren’t in the room, what would your next step be?

Take that one. šŸ¤

Tell me below: are you being still right now, or are you just scared? No judgment. I’ve been both.

This is so cringe for me to post šŸ˜‚ like truly. But when I watched this video back it hit me how different my life is now.

And not just my life. ME.

I haven’t really talked about this publicly, but I’ve been alcohol-free for over 13 months now.

Not because I considered myself an alcoholic. I didn’t. I stopped because I started getting really freaking intentional about the woman I wanted to be and the life I wanted to build.

And alcohol just didn’t have a place in it anymore.

I felt convicted to be sober-minded.

And the more I walked that out, the more I realized that was about so much more than alcohol. It was about what I allowed into my mind, what I listened to and watched, who I surrounded myself with, the environments I put myself in.

Because those things ARE shaping me.

And full transparency here there was absolutely a version of me dancing around with a drink in my hand listening to Chris Brown šŸ˜‚

IYKYK šŸ˜‰šŸ«£

And now we’re dancing around the bathroom with coffee worshipping Jesus.

But the difference between those two women isn’t that my circumstances magically changed.

I had to choose her.

There were things I had to stop doing. Things I had to start doing. Boundaries I had to create. Convictions I had to listen to. Things I had to surrender. Choices I had to make over and over again when nobody was watching.

Jesus changed my life. Without a doubt.

But following Jesus has never meant I have no responsibility for what I do with the life He gave me.

And I think sometimes we spend so much time asking God to change our circumstances because we think THEN we’ll finally be happy. THEN we’ll have peace. THEN we’ll become her.

But girl… are you even making the choices she would make?

I couldn’t keep asking God for a different life while continuing to choose things that supported the old version of me.

Maybe your circumstances aren’t the only thing that need to change.

Maybe God is calling you to become a different woman inside of them😘 by @drnicoleramirez

I wish I could sit across from the woman I was a couple years ago and tell her this:

Trying to rush through this process won’t serve you.

Because girl… I tried. šŸ˜‚

And it didn’t just not work, it probably kept me stuck longer than I would have been otherwise.

Once the papers were signed, I wanted to be DONE. Over it. Healed. Rebuilt. Ready for whatever beautiful thing God had next. And if I’m being honest, I wanted this before the papers were even signed.

But when so much of the life you knew has burned down, there’s this moment where you just... look around. And think, okay. Now what?

Where do I even start rebuilding from here when I feel this broken?

I wanted the answer. The plan. The version of me on the other side of all this.

And preferably by Tuesday. šŸ˜‚

But God wasn’t asking me to have it all figured out, or to rush through it. He was asking me to walk with Him through it.

One decision. One boundary. One prayer. One ordinary Tuesday. One scary step at a time.

And what an absolute gift that has been. I don’t think I could have built the intimacy or the foundation I have with Him now without that season.

Somewhere in all of it, I don’t even know exactly when, I started becoming someone I didn’t know how to be yet.

Someone who knew who she was without needing someone else to confirm it. Who could feel peace in the middle of the mess, not just after it was cleaned up. Who could actually love the life in front of her while still believing God had more coming.

An incredibly refined, rebuilt version of myself.

So if you’re in the middle of rebuilding right now, here’s what I want you to know:

It might be taking longer than you wanted it to. That doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong, sometimes the strongest foundations are built here.

And trust me, looking back now, while I understand why I wanted to rush it, I’m so glad I didn’t.

You don’t need to know what the whole rebuilt life looks like yet.

You just need enough faith for the next brick, and trust that God will always redirect you.

That’s the beauty of the foundation I’ve built. Even when I don’t take the ā€œrightā€ step, He’s always there to redirect me. šŸ¤ by @drnicoleramirez

Truth? I’ve been sick for almost three weeks and yesterday I finally had a day where I could actually rest.

Aidan was with his dad. I don’t see patients on Wednesdays. I had nowhere I HAD to be.

And I still had the hardest time letting myself do absolutely nothing. šŸ˜‚

I kept thinking about everything I could be doing. Things for the clinic. Things around my house. This business I’m trying to build.

And at some point I had this thought…

What exactly am I afraid is going to happen if I rest?

I believe deeply in taking responsibility for your life. I don’t think we get to hand our lives over to God and then refuse to move our feet. Faith without works is dead.

But I think sometimes I’ve confused responsibility with control.

If I don’t do it, it won’t get done.
If I stop, I’ll fall behind.
If I take my foot off the gas, I’m not doing enough.

And maybe some things won’t get done when I rest.

Okay.

What do I have to prove?

Because if God is asking me to steward this life He’s given me, that includes stewarding the human body He gave me too.

And right now mine is tired. šŸ˜‚

I don’t think most of the women reading this need someone telling them to work harder.

We know how to work. šŸ˜‚
We know how to show up.
We know how to carry the responsibility and figure out what needs to happen next.

Maybe what some of us need to learn is how to stop without feeling guilty about it.

To trust that God is STILL GOD when we close the laptop.

To trust that our worth isn’t measured by what we accomplished today.

To trust that being faithful doesn’t mean running ourselves into the ground trying to control every outcome.

Yesterday I spent FORTY MINUTES trying to create a post about how sometimes the next faithful step is rest. šŸ˜‚šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

Eventually I realized…

Girl. What are we doing?

So I stopped.

And I’m still learning this one too.

Sometimes taking responsibility for your life means knowing when you’ve done enough for today.

Do what is yours. Trust God with the rest. by @drnicoleramirez

For a LONG time, I didn’t realize how much of my life I was building from the belief that I wasn’t enough.

Get the degree. Become a doctor. Open the business. Make more money. Be chosen.

Maybe then I’ll be enough.

Wanting those things was never the problem.

The problem was asking them to give me something they were never capable of giving me.

Worth.

Because no degree, amount of money, relationship, accomplishment, appearance, or approval can make me ā€œenough.ā€

I know. I tried.

And THAT is what feels so radically different about the season I’m in right now.

I still want more. Maybe more than I ever have.

There are things God is putting on my heart right now that absolutely light me up. Things I’m building. Things I’m praying about. Things I have no idea how they’re going to unfold.

But I’m not building them so I can finally be enough.

I already know who I am.

My worth isn’t waiting for me at the end of another accomplishment.

God already settled that.

And knowing that hasn’t made me want less.

It has made me so much freaking braver.

Because now I get to build from freedom instead of fear.

I get to follow what God is putting on my heart with confidence and joy instead of trying to force-fit myself into what I think my life is ā€œsupposedā€ to look like.

I get to make money without asking money to make me worthy.

I can desire to be chosen without needing another person to prove I’m lovable.

And I can go after enormous dreams knowing that if one doesn’t work out the way I imagined, I don’t collapse with it.

THAT is freedom.

So maybe the question isn’t just:

What are you trying to accomplish?

Maybe it’s:

What are you asking that accomplishment to mean about you?

What are you outsourcing your worth to?

Because girl… I know this one.

And there is so much freedom on the other side.

You don’t become enough.
You become FROM enough. by @drnicoleramirez

I have SO many dreams. So many things I’m praying for, working towards and still believing are possible for my life.

But man… I don’t ever want to get so focused on where I’m going that I miss THIS. 🄹

Aidan running around my bedroom while Sophie chases him. Us laughing. The completely normal, ordinary moments that probably don’t look like much to anyone else but fill my heart to the brim.

This is the pulse of what I want for my life.

I think we can get so caught up waiting for something to change before we let ourselves really love our lives.

It can sound like… When I have more money. When I meet someone. When I feel better. When that prayer gets answered. When I finally get to wherever ā€œthereā€ is.

And listen, I am ALL FOR believing there is more. šŸ˜‚ I believe God is capable of doing far more with our lives than we could ever imagine.

But I don’t need all of those things to happen before I decide this life is beautiful.

I can be wildly grateful for what God has given me right here AND excited about what’s still to come.

Maybe the beautiful life isn’t just the one you’re waiting for.

Maybe you’re already living it. šŸ¤ by @drnicoleramirez

What if being single isn’t the season you’re supposed to hurry through?

What if you stopped treating it like the waiting room for your real life?

Because I did that for YEARS.

Since I was probably 15, some part of my worth was always attached to a man. Being wanted. Being chosen. Being someone’s girlfriend. Having someone interested in me.

And I genuinely didn’t know how to just be Nicole.

No relationship. No dating. No one filling the space.

Just me and God figuring out who He actually created me to be.

And now?

I don’t think you could PAY me to rush this season. šŸ˜‚

I am so freaking happy.

Not ā€œI’m single and pretending I don’t want loveā€ happy. I DO want love. I would love to be married again someday. I would love another baby. I would love a healthy, God-centered marriage.

But I refuse to believe my life starts when that man shows up.

Look at my life NOW.

I got ready with my son, took the cutest wedding date in the entire world, and celebrated someone else’s love story without feeling like mine was somehow missing.

THAT is freedom.

Maybe the goal was never to become so independent that I don’t need anyone.

Maybe it’s becoming so rooted in who God says I am that I never again need another human being to determine my worth.

Because now I don’t have to date from loneliness.
I don’t have to choose from fear.
I don’t have to force something because I’m scared I’m running out of time.

I can LIVE.

I can build. Dream. Mother. Grow. Become.

And if God has marriage for me again someday, that man isn’t going to meet a woman waiting for him to give her a life.

He’s going to meet a woman who already has one.

So if you’re single and believing your life would finally be better if you could just meet someone…

What if this season isn’t something to fix?

What if God is building a version of you here that you could never become if you keep handing your worth back to someone else?

Find her. Become her.

And love the absolute crap out of the life God has given you right now. šŸ¤

Hey now, hey now… ✨

There was a version of me who could have never imagined this life.

Not because it is perfect. But because I didn’t know a heart could hold this much peace. This much joy. This much gratitude. This much freedom.

I didn’t know life could feel this beautiful.

And watching this video back, seeing my baby find me in the crowd and bury his little face into my shoulder, I just keep thinking about how faithful God has been through every single season of my life.

There were valleys I genuinely didn’t know how I would walk out of.

There were endings I never asked for.

There were things I lost that I thought would break me.

And yet God was never finished with my story.

He was redeeming. Restoring. Refining. Healing. Teaching me. Loving me. And creating something so much more beautiful than I could see while I was walking through it.

And somewhere along the way, He set me free.

Free to love differently.
Free to mother differently.
Free to live differently.
Free to become the woman He created me to be.

And I am still becoming. šŸ¤

So if you’re in the valley right now, please hear me when I tell you this:

You have not lived all of your best days yet.

There are sunsets you haven’t seen.
Prayers you haven’t watched God answer.
Versions of yourself you haven’t met.
And moments so beautiful that one day you’ll look around and think…

I had no idea life could get this good.

Keep going. šŸ¤
