A week ago today, as I was leaving the gym, I told the Lord, “My mother is not supposed to suffer. You put Your Son on the cross and He suffered for this very thing my mother is suffering for. My mother doesn’t deserve to suffer.”

An hour later He took her. 🙌🏾

The week before I asked Him to let me be with her when she took her last breath. He honored my request.

I am honored, grateful and thankful that I was able to be with both of my parents when they took their last breath. They were both with me when I took my first breath.

The angels are still rejoicing and I’m still celebrating the Queen of Queens. Mommy is not suffering anymore and that brings joy to my heart.

Keep me and my family in prayer please. The Lord is holding us up and we feel your prayers.

A week ago today, I sat at my mother’s beside from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm. Talking to her, thanking her for everything and crying.

I thanked her for pulling me through things no one else knew about. For making me strong. For teaching me how to be a great teacher when I was clueless—modeling, correcting me, and showing me the ropes.

I told her she was the strongest woman I knew, and I was the runner-up. 😜

Last Tuesday night, I told her, “I release you, Mommy. Me and these kids will be alright. I promise. Go see Daddy and your parents.” She lifted her head and looked at me. I said, “I promise you. I promise we will be alright.” Then she rested it back on the pillow.

See, I thought I had released her in October 2024. She and my Dad were not themselves and I “thought” I released them both. I didn’t know I was the hold up.
🙃🤷🏾‍♀️

Please love on your people while they’re here. Tell them. Show them. Appreciate them. Value them.

And y’all can prepare to be sick of me, because I’m going to keep celebrating this amazing queen and our family’s matriarch. The angels are rejoicing, but I’m still going to honor her life and legacy.

Strength. Fortitude. Resilience. Faith. Determination. Wisdom.

That’s my Mommy. That’s where I get it from. God broke the mold with this one.

Please keep us in your prayers as we celebrate her. Arrangements are forthcoming.
