A tooth is never just one shade. ✨🦷 When it comes to dental aesthetics, there is an entire spectrum of possibilities. 🎨 The whitest shade is not necessarily the most beautiful one. In fact, the most natural and elegant smile often comes from a carefully selected shade that complements the individual — rather than simply choosing the lightest option. 🤍 A tooth is made of subtle variations in colour, with delicate gradients from the inside to the edge. And these variations continue across the entire smile: each tooth may have its own nuances, creating harmony within the dental arch. ✨ Even the surrounding light can change the way a shade is perceived. Natural daylight, warm indoor lighting, or cool light can make the very same tooth appear completely different. ☀️💡 True dental aesthetics are not about making every tooth as white as possible. They are about understanding colour, light, translucency and harmony — and creating a smile that looks beautifully natural. 🤍 Because the most sophisticated smile is not the whitest one. It is the one that looks naturally yours. ✨🦷#oralhealth #dentist #dentistry #tooth #smile taken in Dubai, United Arab Emirates by @drsujulie

This tooth has been waiting 11 years before rising from its ashes. The ferrule effect is important to get a proper mechanical retention. I can’t rely only on chemical retention. I prepared a little bit deeper my margins but still in the respect of the biological width. And here a fiber post is used to retain the core when insufficient coronal tooth structure remains. Always aim to preserve 4–5 mm of gutta-percha in the apical portion of the root canal. Why? • To maintain an adequate apical seal • To reduce the risk of bacterial leakage and reinfection • To protect the integrity of the endodontic treatment taken in Excellence Medical Boutique by @drsujulie

Why choose zirconia crowns? ✔️ Exceptional strength — Highly resistant to fracture, making zirconia an excellent option for restoring teeth exposed to significant chewing forces. ✔️ Natural aesthetics — Modern translucent zirconia can mimic the appearance of natural teeth, creating a harmonious, beautiful smile. ✔️ Metal-free restoration — Zirconia contains no metal framework, making it an excellent alternative to traditional porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns. ✔️ Excellent biocompatibility ✔️ Stain resistance — The ceramic material itself is resistant to staining ✔️ Versatility — Depending on the type of zirconia and the clinical situation, it can be used for front teeth, back teeth, bridges, and implant-supported restorations. ✔️ Long-term performance ✔️ Conservative options — Some cases allow for more tooth-preserving preparation #ZirconiaCrowns #CosmeticDentistry #RestorativeDentistry #DentalCrowns #SmileMakeover by @drsujulie

Spending quality time with my family on a Sunday in Dubai. I dragged husband to an amusement park Legoland for his absolute delight (not really his thing 😂). The things we do for our kids! In the end, it turned out to be a really, really great day, full of wonderful memories. ————————————————— Should I keep sharing bits of my life, or should I just stick to talking about teeth? 😂 #dubailife #dubaï #lego #legolanddubai dubaifamily by @drsujulie

Dubai is more than a city of skyscrapers and endless possibilities. It is a place where ancient traditions meet modern dreams, where the call to prayer still echoes and rythmes daily life as their heritage. #dubai #dubailife #burjkhalifa #dubainight #mosque by @drsujulie

The patient was a 15yo girl whose incisor was previously root canal treated but restored with a composite. It’s not surprising that the tooth broke considering the remaining small stump. The goal is to preserve and maintain her tooth as long as possible on the arch. Implant is the last option and we have to keep in mind that « the natural tooth is the best implant ». I placed a fiber post into the canal and did a core build-up. I chose Emax material: my core buildup was white enough and aesthetic outcome is very important in that case. Emax has the best aesthetic result with its translucency and the lab can layer it. If you have good eyes you will notice that I left I very thin gap between the proximal teeth to help for the orthodontic treatment and correct the crowding. Also she is young and her teeth are not very bright. I agreed with her mother to choose a slightly whiter shade compared to her natural teeth to anticipate if in the future she wants to proceed with a whitening. Anticipation is a key in the global treatment of patients #prosthodontics #crown #dentist #biomimeticdentistry #emax taken in Invisalign Center by @drsujulie

This is a 4Y-TZP multilayer zirconia, the Yttria component percentage is increased for better translucency and aesthetic. Zirconia CAN BE BONDED with the right protocol: -sandblasting with aluminium oxyde 50 µm 10 secs at 10 mm from the intaglio Zirconia is a polycrystalline ceramic without the silica-rich glass phase found in conventional glass ceramics. Consequently, the conventional hydrofluoric acid etching and silane-only approach used for glass ceramics is not an equivalent bonding strategy for zirconia. For predictable adhesive bonding, use an appropriate universal ceramic primer or zirconia primer containing 10-MDP. #zirconia #zirconiacrown #prosthodontics #dentalcrowns #dentist taken in Excellence Medical Boutique by @drsujulie
