Happy 250th Birthday, America!

Two days ago, I returned from a 6-week trip to Italy, having taken 15 students to Rome for Study Abroad courses. I loved my time in Italy and found the time with my students to be quite rewarding, but I was eager to get home and am thrilled to be in the USA for this year’s 4th of July celebration. Absence does make the heart grow fonder, at least as it relates to traveling abroad.

Not all is well here in the USA, but it’s an amazing country and I’m so grateful to call it home. So, today, I proudly fly the Stars and Stripes.

Yesterday, my daughter commented that for her, the best celebration of our country’s 250th birthday has been the mutual embrace of culture and people shown by World Cup visitors and everyday Americans. I completely agree. by @drtimcavell

Currently in a small hamlet outside of Sorrento. Vico Equense. The city of tastes. Four restaurants that have Michelin star chefs.

Treated myself at the end of the summer term with a really nice hotel. La Tuja Relais du Parc.
