It was one Sunday afternoon, I was a Pastor’s wife, sitting in service listening to a guest preacher share the Word of God found in Ephesians 4:1. I recall asking God in that moment, “God, how am I going to walk worthy with the gift you gave me of being a Mortician?”I ate, slept, and breathed Funeral Service with the goal of opening my own Funeral Home. My entire family knew that was my lifelong dream. So much so, that my Daddy, rest his soul, who only had an 8th grade education, drew up floor plans of the family Funeral Home he had envisioned for our family to own. With all of that desire and plans of owning a Funeral Home, nothing worked! Sooooo many people over the years have desired a collaborative effort but I never felt the peace of God about it. Even my ex husband and I dreamed about owning a Funeral Home someday. No matter how much I planned and pursued that vision, nothing worked.

I did not know that God was behind the scenes orchestrating HIS desire for my life. I did not know that pain would birth purpose that was within me. I’ve got a word for you! Don’t despise your wilderness, your painful life experiences. It wasn’t for nothing! Get help, a midwife (e.g. a qualified person) to help you push on through!

I now know, it is not a Funeral Home that I am to own, but a Grief Center! A Center for Loss & Life Transitions. A place where grieving people can go to receive healing, deliverance, education, rest, peace, and so much more!

Last June, God confirmed His desire for me through a prophetic word I received through a lady at Heavenly Gospel Church in Fort Worth. She declared everything God showed me about this Grief Center! YOUR GIFT WILL MAKE ROOM FOR YOU! Never stop believing that!

Yes, you can be saved and depressed! There were many in the Bible who battled depression. Moses grieved over the sin of his people Exodus 32:32. David battled deep despair Psalm 38:4. Job suffered great loss and devastation Job 3:11, 26. Although they battled depression, God still used them so don’t be ashamed, get help! Moses was a deliverer, David was known as a man after God’s own heart, and Job was a demonstration of restoration! Know the root of your issues and address it! Can I encourage somebody today?

Just because life doesn’t look like what you imagined doesn’t mean God is finished writing your story!

You’ve survived some things you never thought you’d make it through. You’ve cried tears nobody saw, fought battles nobody knew about, and carried pain you didn’t have the words to explain.

But LOOK AT YOU! You’re still here!

Don’t just survive what happened to you. Make the decision to LIVE beyond it!

Your story isn’t over. There’s still life to be lived, love to be experienced, and purpose to be fulfilled!

Fellas!!! I know it's hard!. Trying to find a safe space to express yourself. To be completely vulnerable, unguarded, and exposed without judgement. To feel safe enough to cry without shame, guilt or embarrassment and still keep your faith. It's the worst kind of loneliness to suffer... being and feeling misunderstood by everyone! I know it's tough. But we cannot continue to hold this stuff in. We can't continue to suck it up, or hold it in due due to the fear of appearing weak. We have to start finding healthy ways to express our feelings. Emotional suppression is literally killing us.

Me and my people @danielle.guillory and @drtonyacunningham are hosting a conference on December 5th 2026. We will sit with you, talk with you and discuss how to properly care for yourself mentally, emotionally, and physically. Won't come out and join us, and allow us to pour into you and Love on you for a little while. I promise you we won't bite. Lol.
