Do you ever run from uncomfortable feelings? 😡😨😳

A 90-second practice to try this weekend:

1. When you feel triggered or an uncomfortable emotion, before reacting, set a 90-second timer

2. Don’t judge the feeling. Don’t create a story about whose fault it is. Accept it.

3. Sit with the physical sensation in your body. Notice your heart rate. Notice the tightness in your chest. Breathe or move through it (ie. dance, shake, bounce)

Whew, praying I model this well for my boys and they learn to do it too

Fellas!!! I know it's hard!. Trying to find a safe space to express yourself. To be completely vulnerable, unguarded, and exposed without judgement. To feel safe enough to cry without shame, guilt or embarrassment and still keep your faith. It's the worst kind of loneliness to suffer... being and feeling misunderstood by everyone! I know it's tough. But we cannot continue to hold this stuff in. We can't continue to suck it up, or hold it in due due to the fear of appearing weak. We have to start finding healthy ways to express our feelings. Emotional suppression is literally killing us.

Me and my people @danielle.guillory and @drtonyacunningham are hosting a conference on December 5th 2026. We will sit with you, talk with you and discuss how to properly care for yourself mentally, emotionally, and physically. Won't come out and join us, and allow us to pour into you and Love on you for a little while. I promise you we won't bite. Lol.

And too often we’re given this encouragement in the church!

Listen, God made you to feel, but too often we’re taught that our feelings are in opposition to our faith

Looking back over a weekend of rest, relaxation, and retreat, it was a very profound, powerful, and fun-filled where I was able to pour into my cohorts and they poured right back into me. This must be the year of giving flowers. These highly intelligent, spirit-led, anointed women of God gave me my flowers both literally and verbally. It was very unexpected, and I was completely caught off guard with this very kind-gesture. Honestly, I felt somewhat undeserving of this. But I was able to receive it. It brought me to tears. I was and still am so very grateful for my cohort. I can't say thank you enough for reminding me that I do matter that I am important. I thank God for each and everyone of you. You could not have known how much I needed this. Shout out to my other cohort team. Missed y'all!!
