Planning to make a sleeve for my mitutoyo caliper. Thought 1.6mm is the right thickness i needed. Slim enough and bit sturdy to keep the shape.

Splitting Hermann Oak from 5mm to 1.6mm. Crazy range but quite easy task with this splitter.

Any caliper sleeve design idea?

One of a problems in my early leathercrafting leathercrafting journey.

Options are:
1. Buy one thickness from the supplier: not always efficient because i needed different thicknesses for each of wallet parts.

2. 3rd party splitting: takes too much time to pack, ship, then waiting for them to ship back. On top of that, splitting cost itself could almost double my cost on leather.

3. Buy band knife splitter. Every leathercrafter dream, but need bigger space on my shop, and costs 10k$

So this small benchtop splitter was my best of the best options..
