If you are able to find out your family history, that’s very important medically. Not everyone has access to that, so it is important to take the preventative measures you can. Colonoscopies are now recommended at a base age of 45yrs old, earlier if you are high risk. 🙏🏾💙

These symptoms can have many causes and don’t automatically mean colon cancer. But if a change is new, persistent, or unusual for you, it’s worth talking to your doctor.

What makes this organization so special is that they help provide access to colonoscopies for people under 45 when their insurance won’t cover the cost — potentially helping catch colorectal cancer and other serious conditions earlier.

Carbs aren’t the enemy.

You don’t need to cut out all carbs to eat healthy. The key is choosing high-quality, fiber-rich carbs like whole grains, beans, lentils, fruits, vegetables and sweet potatoes.

Fiber supports healthy digestion, helps keep you feeling full and is an important part of a balanced diet.

It’s about choosing better carbs, not eliminating them.

One of those pictures is Michael a week before he passed. Only a few people saw him during these moments. How could such a handsome man go from 170 lbs to 70 lbs in 5 months. This is what the Colorectal Cancer battle looks like. Once you see it, it’s hard to unsee. The physical hardship is bad, the emotional hardship is worse. Not being able to orally consume food or water, not being able to go to the restroom like a normal person. Having tubes taking care of all your consumption needs as well your waste requirements is demoralizing. Along with all of these inconveniences, the cost of staying alive adds an additional burden. This makes a screening colonoscopy seem like a better option. There are 134,000,000 in the United States between the ages of 18-45, you are the most important people in our society. Largest workforce, largest consumer group, largest investors in the stock market, 90% of our military 100% of the people who fight our wars, the only people having babies. You should be able to manage your healthcare. You should be able to choose to have a screening colonoscopy which could prevent you from contracting Colorectal Cancer.
