We will explore the rich working-class history of the town, from the Cabot Textile Mill, to the tenement buildings that housed hundreds of French-Canadian workers! 🧵

We will connect the past with the present by exploring how these workers made Brunswick their home and examine their lasting impact and influence on the architecture, layout, and culture of this mill town 🌹💪

The two-mile walk will begin outside of Fort Andross (the Cabot Mill), and wind through the blocks in and around downtown Brunswick before ending at @moderationbrewing, where there will be an optional free lunch at @jeffsjamaicancuisine 😋

👥 LET’S SHOW UP! On October 13, South Portland City Council will host a workshop to consider actions the City can take to further limit cooperation with federal immigration enforcement agencies. The Council will discuss the importance of a municipal ordinance banning the cooperation of all city employees with federal immigration enforcement agencies, as well as the use of city-owned property/facilities for federal immigration enforcement activities.
