Great to meet with the St. Louis Office for Developmental Disability Resources this morning about the incredible work they are doing to support our community. Did you know a portion of our property taxes go to funding these critical services? by @dsouzaformissouri

Grateful to join other democratic nominees for summer caucus! There’s still so much work to do to get other candidates over the November finish line and I’m excited to help. Thank you to the Missouri House Democratic Caucus for hosting and getting us excited about the work ahead. by @dsouzaformissouri

Yesterday, I (Jacqueline Dace) had a great time hanging out with my friends and fellow executive directors, Emily Kohring from Bread and Roses Missouri and Sheila Sudderwalla from Artists First St. Louis, as we presented our panel "Equity, Ethics & Survival: The Realities Facing Nonprofits" at the AFP Conference/Gateway Conference on Philanthropy.

We were lucky to have our friend Rachel D'Souza, the awesome founder of Gladiator Consulting, moderating it, as we highlighted the pressing issues we face and emphasized the importance of collaboration in driving meaningful change. by @dsouzaformissouri

I am BEYOND elated that #Missourians made their voices heard at our Midterm Primaries on Tuesday. Our voters came together to RESOUNDINGLY defeat Amendments 4&5 which sought to end majority rule and replace our progressive income tax with a regressive tax structure that would have harmed nonprofits, workers, and families.

In winning my primary race, I am *both* the Democratic nominee on our November ballot and Representative-Elect given my district is D +79.2.

I am proud to have run a dignified, respectful campaign. Some days were filled with hope and courage and others, I did the work scared as hell. I asked for help when I needed it and people across my community - friends and strangers - showed up.

Thank you to my opponents Adam Hopkins + Helen Bailey for their love of our community and running their own campaigns with integrity. I look forward to working with you both.

To my campaign team - @jnekk_ , @haley_night , @angelabingaman and @authenticallymollie thank you for sharing your wisdom, time, and energy with me. What we did together is incredible.

My friends and family kept life moving forward - helping with meals, childcare, encouragement, joy + laughter, canvassing, donating... the list goes on and on.

The team @consulting.gladiator has grown in brilliant ways and stepped up for our clients and each other.

My partner @burt_macklin21 made sure I was hydrated, loved and feeling my actually feelings every day.

@bsiebert314 , the world’s best co-parent, supported my campaign from Day 1.

I would break the internet if I tagged everyone who made my win possible so I’ll do my best to share the love in other ways!

If you emailed or messaged or donated or canvassed or yelled at internet trolls, I am grateful for you!!!

Onward my loves. This is just the beginning. by @dsouzaformissouri

3 days left and out talking to my neighbors. Constantly hearing about healthcare costs, education, childcare costs and the income tax. Im really concerned about those things too and I’m ready to tackle them in Jefferson City. Election Day is this TUESDAY so I hope you have a plan to vote. I’m also recommending voting NO on Amendment 4&5, as evidenced by my pin 📌. Thank you to @haley_night for always being down to brave any weather with me. by @dsouzaformissouri

If we haven’t had a chance to meet at your door, my name is Rachel D’Souza. I’m a mom, small business owner, and enthusiast candidate for State Representative in Missouri’s 79th District.

I decided to run because my son looked me in the eye one day as we were listening to the news and said “Well. What are you going to do about it?”

Over the last several months, I’ve knocked thousands of doors- in the snow flurries, wind, ran, and excessive heat. I’ve heard from renters and homeowners, older adults, parents with young kids (and the young kids too!), teenagers who are about to vote for the first time, and workers in their early career. Whether hopeful or disgruntled, everyone I’ve listened to understands that we deserve more from our government than what we’ve been getting.

My neighbors and families in my district are struggling to keep up with the rising costs of housing, utilities, groceries, childcare, and transportation. My own health insurance nearly doubled from last year to this year. When the federal government makes decisions that hurt working families, kids and the elderly, it is the job of the Missouri legislature to be the last line of defense for its citizens.

Instead, the Republican supermajority in our state continues to underfund public education, refuse to legislate what our voters call for and wants us to believe abolishing the income tax will be good for our state. My community is struggling because of state government is working for wealthy and corporate interests and NOT for the rest of us.

I believe that everyone should have access to the healthcare they need regardless of their sex assigned at birth, gender or marital status. Healthcare costs should be affordable for all.

I believe that public schools should be fully funded and extra resources should be provided for teacher training, student wrap-around supports and special education services. Our tax dollars should not be directed to vouchers for private schools.

For nearly 20 years, I have served and worked alongside our nonprofit community. I am eager to bring my commitment to equity & justice to Jefferson City. I hope to earn your vote on August 4th. by @dsouzaformissouri

It’s been incredibly hot—day after day of extreme heat warnings. But every door knocked is another conversation, another chance to listen, and another opportunity to earn your trust.

I’d rather spend these hot summer days meeting neighbors, because if I’m going to ask for your vote, you deserve to know I’ll show up when it matters. If we haven’t met yet, I hope to meet you in this final stretch. Stay safe and hydrated! by @dsouzaformissouri

I’ll always stand with LBGTQ+ folks in this state against the growing fascist attempts to strip rights away. PROMO does incredible work in this state to advocate for children and families. I’m proud of this endorsement and will continue to work with them in advancing equitable rights across this state and district if elected. by @dsouzaformissouri
