Another Club DSPORT FA20 or FA21 has been machined. After case halves are decked true and the vertical line boring is completed, each block goes on the 4-axis CNC for decking, clearancing for the Club DSPORT 90mm stroker crank and engraving. Next stop is the cylinder honing station where a torque/honing plate is bolted on to simulate the distortion on the cylinders from the cylinder head. With the plate in place, cylinders are honed for a precision fit. End result is an FA20 engine that delivers big power and top reliability. #fa20 #clubdsport #dsport #frs #brz by @dsportpub

More Power, Less Detonation!
Setting up the quench clearance is one key to maximum combustion efficiency. The DART SHP LS Next Pro block fitted with Mahle Pistons and Callies crank and rods put the pistons 0.015” above deck. With a 0.051” thick gasket, we end up with 0.036” clearance between the piston and cylinder head. This is a great number for a steel rod, 6,500RPM engine with 4032-alloy pistons.
